Was still a bigger crowd than the first week of the finals back in 2012 & 2013 pre reserves

John Casey posted elsewhere that there were 130,000 tv viewers.
There is still the latent interest but getting those back through the gate is difficult.

Really? I would have thought if your team was playing finals you'd head along. I guess some people weren't as committed as they said / thought they were.

I will go down there but know plenty of former supporters that will never go to another game of SANFL whilst the 2 AFL clubs are involved.

You’d think with Norwood playing this week it’ll easily be 10k-12k

I would have thought that by not going to finals is showing the clubs and comp that people won't jump on bandwagons

Cute.[/quote]The comp is not what it was prior to AFL reserves, it is now just a testing place for potential AFL rules.

The great thing the comp had was it had a point of difference in regards to rules and interpretations.

The clubs especially Glenelg are doing extremely well financially and certainly dont need my money.

You would hope that it is well over 10K. North and Norwood drew just over 10K to the 2014 Anzac Day game at Adelaide. Throw in Sturt with their good following and the Eagles and really the crowd should be approaching 15K, but it I very much doubt that it will.

The AFL have influenced this comp long before 40 kids from 2 clubs got to have a game together in suburbia. Television rights has seen the AFL given more exposure within the last 10 years making it hard for the SANFL to settle on a timeslot, AO has changed the dynamic for what fans want out of going to the footy, Country and Ammo's are paying way too much enticing players away from the SANFL, supporters are ageing, half the youth would never of heard if the SANFL. I could go on, but you blokes just keep blaming Port & Adelaide if it makes you feel better
