Well, I'd keep my shirt on and make it a better fight than this anyway. ;)

Tex has held that group together under enormous pressure over the past few years and has done it extremely well. I think I will cut him a bit of slack

Any other captain dealt with their coach being murdered?

Thankfully not.
He did a good job in that time and he deserves credit for it.

Unfortunately he didn’t stand up on GF day so he loses points there.

Not the first and won't be the last captain to not perform on the big stage.
Has done some things wrong over the past 12 months but the trial by media has been astonishing and disgraceful.
The media would rather hang a bloke for having a few bad games or a beer rather than focusing on reporting anything remotely positive.

Don't get me wrong I'm thoroughly enjoying the negativity currently hanging over the swamp but I too am beginning to grow tired of the whole saga. Having said that I think the AFC didn't help their cause months ago when they weren't particularly transparent, they could have been more open and given the rumor mongers less to deal with instead of creating innuendo.

With no Fox I typically watch Talking Footy on Monday and record Classified and watch it on Tuesday morning before work, I gave up on both of them this week. I tweeted this morning that -- AFL media "The pressure is rising on *insert name here* over the last few days". Of course it is, you blokes won't shut up about it!

Really starting to feel for Alan Richardson in this case, the media is going to get this bloke sacked. His teams performances aren't up to scratch, list management has plenty of questions to answer, but the media want his scalp for some reason.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

Yeah pretty spot on with your response. Unfortunately you can only control so much of the media even if you only speak to MMM channel 7.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Yeah gotta say this stance has backfired spectacularly. Initially I was all for it but all it has done is escalate the hate in the media not only in Adelaide but also Melbourne.

Absolutely Booney, i think if the AFC had there time again they would have handled the situation a lot differently.

However, if clubs came out and refuted every rumour that surfaced about them or a player they would always be in the media!

One thing the media doesn't like it that the AFC have there own media department, Crows show etc so they don't get as exclusive access to players and breaking news that other clubs give them.
