After staggering in at God knows what time Saturday morning the wife asks what my plans were for Saturday to which I replied "I'm enjoying the day off umpiring so I'm heading to the pub".

My mums partner and I chuck $30 in each and do some sneaky $6 tri's using the favourite as a rover and picking two each to go with.

He went and picked a mate up and was taking ages so I said to my mum "We're not missing a Morphetville race, you'll have to pick two", we proceeded to do the usual bet and #5 (Kappy) came in a winner paying about $54, our $6 bet netted us about $780, we were on fire after that too!

Went to cancel Foxtel today

Was gonna sign up for Foxtel now and split the cost with my mate, but they didn’t need to know that. I basically cited the recent price increase as well as the fact that everyone has HD these days so charging me $10 for that is bullshit

They dropped it to $39 a month! (For base sports and HD)
