Condolences to Travis Varcoe on the passing of his sister.

It will never bring her back but I would love nothing more to see him lift the premiership cup this year.

Poor bugger. Good thoughts to him and family.

Let's hope luck changes for him.

Truly and utterly shattered, Maggie was a tremendous player and person, as her brothers are.

Words cannot describe the numb feeling.

Gallant effort so far this year.

Goldy and Treloar getting through is a bonus.

Will be better for the run. Treloar looked very nervous kicking.

And Goldy didn't look like it was his first game of the year.

I think we can beat GWS at home, then we should be cherry ripe for Richmond.

There was a social media site - might've been this one earlier in the year asking who you'd like in your team - politics and tradability issues aside. Goldy. I've heard him on social media previously and he sounds like a great bloke. Not only that, but to come back from such an injury in 'x' months ahead of schedule is admirable. To play the way he did, in a final, is just out-rightly praiseworthy.

Was thinking this loss reminds me a lot of 2002 - a team that came from nowhere to be a contender. This hurts more though - to lead for most of the day and be pipped by a clutch goal on the boundary was ever so cruel.

Still hard to believe we were within a kick of winning a premiership this year. This is a team I've been yelling at in frustration, with players I've been bagging for some time. But geez, you can only be proud of the way they have played for the last four weeks. Buckley is all class, an exemplary leader, and obviously the right man to be at the helm indefinitely.

I thought Adams was tireless and would've won the Norm Smith had we won - reckon he gets the captaincy next year, has matured greatly as a member of that side. Langdon was epic in defence and could just about write his own contract following that performance. Maynard was gutsy as **** to get smashed in the ribs, dislocated a shoulder and still continue to have a crack - indicative of the team's attitude this year.

Bucks has said previously - it's not about the destination, it's about the journey. Well, for the first time in many seasons I am excited what next year holds and I will be following the progress of our injured players closely. It will be very interesting to see what strategy we take at the trade table - we will obviously go after Will Kelly at the draft, but how hard will we go at existing KPF or KPDs.

If 2019 is an indication of teams final standing in 2018, both Collingwood and West Coast wont be there on the last Sat in September.

Well said Q.
I'm still yet to hear directly from Lynch or his manager that he is definitely going to Richmond.
The media have said it, that's all.
Could be another Franklin ruse maybe?

The list looks OK if we get Elliott, Moore and even Shaz back next year.

Lynch 100% to Tigers.

Slim chance we could land May, but TBH I don't think think we'll land any big fish this year.

Hearing he was offered $300k a year and said no thanks, I'll have a good season then we can talk in October.
Good on the kid for backing himself in. Hopefully he gets in the low 5s.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

A quiz for collingwood fans, in the mid nineties a player came in who was a centre half forward, had long hair barely played any games and smashed oppositions, but maybe only played about 10 games maximum, and had to retire for some reason, his name was possibly taylor, but i could be wrong
