Got the all clear from the bosses and thought the boys looked just as good if not better than the mish mash of fashion at other tables. We still like to bring a bit of SFL flavour to the AdFL. Club polo is standard get up for the SFL medal night. Very well run night it must be said. Food was top shelf and didn't realise drinks were also on the house. Very slick operation to be all over by before 10pm.

Congrats to Brighton for making it to Div 1, I know it was one of their key goals when they made the move, and maybe a season or two ahead of expectations.

Definitely did not part ways. Few disgruntled players now so will be interesting to see how good the new coach will be at damage control.

Agree with the first part but the second part is not what I have heard.

Round 18 - Unley 8-13 d GG 3-8

GG didn't kick a goal until the last qtr.

3 votes - GG
2 votes - GG
1 vote - GG

Caire wasn't in Unley's best that day according to SportsTG and lost the medal by 1 vote so maybe it wouldn't have mattered but what the f--k!!!

This is amazing, surely the umps put the wrong team down as this should never happen!

Would be a good job to get at Broadview imo. Something like 16 broadies juniors in 1st semi side and they are getting better every game they play together. Jacko did well with the recruits brought in in 2017/18 so exciting times ahead hopefully.

That’s a bit disrespectful on Old Iggies Marby!

Did some guy at SPOC win the lotto? O'Brien was on some big coin at Onkas, as was McLeay at Birdwood, plus a raft of very handy recruits in 2018.

Pretty sure most guys at SPOC could pay Jesse comfortably without winning lotto

SA Footy doesn't appear to be hip enough for many of our Old Collegians friends so this may fall on deaf ears but congratulations to SPOC in deservedly winning the Division 2 flag. They were undefeated for a reason and despite challenging them at times in our 4 matches this season we just couldn't fully nullify their height in the forward line. Saturday's conditions plus losing Jock McLeay early gave us every chance to neutralize their forward marking power but O'Brien was superb on-ball and so was Schultz at CHB.

We certainly can't complain about our first two years back in the AdFL and happy to settle with a 1st and 2nd on the basis that it puts us into Division 1 in 2019. A massive challenge no doubt and the recent history of the majority of promoted teams means we will have to work bloody hard to make a difference at the top level. But we are excited at taking on some of the powerhouse clubs of community footy and next season can't come quick enough.
