Siddle had to play given the lack of options... the fact Nesser got so close to being selected shows how bare the cupboard is.

Watching this innings one would like to think the Pakis are kept in the field for two days in return... grind out a painful draw and make a statement. BUT Sadly we will likely roll over on a wkt that suddenly plays as a minefield.

Thats the type of effort that indicates he would drop 8 out of ten. He had no idea.

This side just isnt any good. Haha.. despite the commentator who praised sohail for his century against a "high quality opposition".

Pakistan all out for 482, have lost 6/72 so some good work by the Aussie bowlers with a couple of run outs. The Pakis were looking at 500 plus being 1/205.

Let's hope the pitch is this flat when we bat now.

No way, you have faith in Aussie batting? 270 overs still left, pitch will deteriorate from here.

Despite the pitch looking like a road, only been 1 draw in the last 10 test matches at this venue, Paki's have won 6 of these. Shah has 30 wickets in the last 4 tests there, he will be the key again.

Smart play by the Paki's, coming out of a Aussie winter or English summer and 1st test for a while with 3 debutants, putting out boys out in the field in the heat for 2 days will wear them down both physically and mentally.

Can’t see the Aussies winning or getting the draw, pitch is turning bit for Yasir going to be hard going, and then Aussies will need to bat for the best part of two days to eradicate this deficit.

Unfortunately we don’t have any big turners of the ball either to potentially rip through them either.

Love seeing two batsmen knuckle down and respect the conditions rather than trying to 'hit' their way through an innings. Hopefully all over of our batsmen show this attitude.

Good session by the openers, hit the balls they needed to, rotated the strike and respected the good bowling.

Hopefully these two can kick on from here.
