Since when has Dave Grohl been a fan of North Melbourne?
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Adelaide has secured Andy Otten and Cam Ellis-Yolmen.

Swingman Otten has played 106 games with the Crows and has provided crucial key position depth.

Ellis-Yolmen had a strong start to the season and played 15 games after coming back from a knee reconstruction but will remain a rookie listed.

Crows list manager Justin Reid said both players were respected members of the playing group.

“Both Andy and Cam are valuable contributors on and off the field and over the years have overcome adversity with injury, which is a testament to their character and resilience,” he told the club website.

“We see them both playing a meaningful role going forward.”

AARON vandenBerg is staying at Melbourne.

The tough midfielder has signed a new deal that will keep him in red and blue until the end of 2021.

After a two years blighted by injury, vandenBerg was considering a move to Sydney to be closer to family.

Demons football manager Josh Mahoney said the Canberra native's decision to stay was a reflection of the club's culture.

"We are very happy that Aaron has decided to remain a Melbourne player and agreed to a new deal,” he told the club website.

“The last two years have been very challenging personally and we understand that this was a tough decision for Aaron, given his family situation and the attraction of moving to Sydney.

“It is a positive reflection of our club and the environment that has been created for the players, and the connection they have together.”

LEVI Casboult is set to pull a Carlton jumper on again in 2019.

Casboult has been the subject of trade speculation despite having a year to run on his contract. But Carlton list boss Stephen Silvagni said a trade was unlikely.

"We haven't had too many approaches from clubs so at the minute it looks more likely that he will be here than playing at another club," he said on Trade Radio.

Silvagni said a deal for Alex Fasolo should be done before the end of tomorrow and the Blues were working with GWS on a trade for Will Setterfield.

He also provided updates on several other players:

Mitch McGovern – did Carlton pay too much?

"I guess we'll see how he performs in the next 12-24 months, that will tell the story.

"We thought that those two picks (26 and 28) were going to have to be part of the deal so that was always part of our planning."

The Blues missed out on Dylan Shiel, with Silvagni saying a trade with GWS would have involved the Blues' 2019 future first round pick.

"So we just have to make sure when we go to the draft next year we pick a better player than Dylan Shiel".

Silvagni also discussed:

Ciarán Byrne – is he coming back from Ireland?

"At this stage, it's an unknown … he gets terribly homesick. When he gets home, he finds it incredibly hard to come back. It's looking a bit grim at the moment, but we're still working to get him back here.

Trading pick one?

"It's highly unlikely. We've had a few clubs (ask about pick one) and you never say no. We were receptive in terms of suggestions and all that so it's not as if it's off the table, but it would have to be a very good deal."

Is Sam Walsh a lock for pick one?

"I think we've got three or four players there that we rate very highly so we'll see what happens."

SOS sounds disappointed!

I say, send him to CHB and let him have a run at it, just don't let him dispose of it by foot.

BTW, we still need a key defender. Carlton should be going hard to try and find one, quickly! Liam Jones, whilst serviceable, is not the answer!

Yep, got applauded for his honesty and strong stance when he came out and squashed the rumours a couple of months ago, declaring his commitment to the lions.

Walsh to Carlton, Lukosius, Rozee to Gold Coast, St Kilda could take me at 4 they way they recruit, Brisbane might give up 5 for Neale meaning Fremantle get back ahead of us....WTF. ....

Yeah that's bad! In 2098 points (assuming Freo's pick next year is #45), out: 3060.
A loss of 962 points, or pick 18.5
Just wow.

Wondering if after the combine last week Rankine has indicated its Adelaide based teams or I'm coming back in 2 years anyway.

Port might know he's a lock at pick 6 & know the Crowies wont be able to get higher than that.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
