Crazy.

Chis Burgess who went from West to Gold Coast as a compo selection got 4 years

Can't find anything to suggest he got 4 years? Got a link?

Part of the article from the West Adelaide press release

“Chris Burgess has been drafted to the Gold Suns as a special assistance player. We believe he has been given a four year deal with the Suns which will see him as an AFL player until the end of 2022.

The 194cm versatile player, Chris has played 47 league games for West Adelaide, four years after playing division two in the amateur league.

It is a great success story and we are very excited to see Chris reach his AFL dreams”

Hope thats all it is, ie no picks to go with it, Wingard not worth any more than that. I still hold out hope it falls through. I hope we are still working on Scully

Wingard will dominate next year under Clarko, you can quote me on that. Giving up 15 and Burton is a good deal for Hawthorn

I certainly hope thats the case if we get him. 14 and Burton is slight overs but if we are only paying 2.5m over 4 years like some reports i can deal with it

I have heard it's closer to 2.8mil over 4. But you know it's hard to tell over the last few weeks if it's just the voices in my head.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but can Burton say no to the trade??

He can, yes.

If he's as angry as reported at being put up as a potential trade would he like to stay?

He's contracted until 2020, they won't delist him. If they delist him they'd have to pay his contract for two years. That won't happen.

St Kilda give up pick No.39 and its future second-round pick in return for Hannebery and pick No.28.

Happy with that. Was worried we'd trade away too much for him.

Swans and saints come to an agreement for Hannerbery

Saints get - Dan and Pick 28
Swans get - Pick 39 and Saints second round pick in 2019

I thought we'd get something a touch better

Think the pick for will be eaten up for an academy lad or F/S next year by the sounds of it. Getting $700k a year off your books helps aswell

Talk about a media beat up
Burton was simply asked by the club if he would consider a move back to SA? The club is happy to hold onto him if doesnt want a trade, exactly the same as we did with Bruest a couple years ago.
I think Port will end up accepting solely pick 15 to get Wingard out of the club, its toxic and he cant stay. A couple more Wingard tweets should make this a mere formality.
Scully for next years 1st rounder and im happy with the trade period
