Hawks- we will give you pick 15, half a bag of chips (Lovell) and a half sucked Paddle Pop (O’Brien) for Wingard.

WOW! The pies only offered 300k per season earlier this year. Great get for the lad.

No wonder he is considering it

And Collingwood won't stop him. Kelly from Adelaide will come much cheaper.

And he’s only a B+ grader.
Never got the hype about this bloke.

I’d take Wingard over him any day of the week.

I can't see Hawthorn getting the Wingard deal done. At the end of the day he is contracted and Port can elect to keep him on.

I honestly believe that a bit of decent leadership and coaching and he would be fine. Maybe they need to work with his quirks a bit.

If no deal is done because pick 15 isn't enough and Burton refuses to come, then fair enough it seems he would stay at Port.

My thinking on this is that at the moment the hawks can sign him for 600k a season apparently, next year he is a free agent and they'll need to provide something Port are unlikely to match. Probably going to be close to 800k. Port will end up with a band 1 compo and because there a shit club they will probably not play finals next year and likely end up with a better pick that 15. Remember they need to finish 4th or higher to get a worse compo pick than 15.

So say they finish 10th or 11th. The compo from Wingard is better, Hawks give up nothing and Chad gets more cash.

Probably works out better. Just a thought really.

I believe Neale's exit interview was rather volatile.

An absolute steal

So far next year we get

McGovern
Fasolo
Settlefield
+
Docherty
Williamson (a brilliant forgetton kid missed all of 2018)

Another key defender would be good but only picks 1 and 71 left i believe

Nah man we have enough defenders who butcher the ball when going forward.
Howard and pick 6 maybe.

Freo say they no longer want Hogan, have never had a key forward and they decide to pass. Chased him for about 3 years

Melbourne want 2 x first rounders, that’s why Freo said No.

Freo need a forward so they should take the risk IMO
They’ll get a first rounder for Neale so they can use that anyway.

**** me this would have to be the most gullible site in the whole universe

Firstly You believe because Freo said they arent interested in Hogan thats the end of it, **** me its just postering to gauge Melbournes want for May. Only way May gets to Melbourne is through Hogan to Fremantle. If Melbourne really want May they will come back to the table and accept slightly less for Hogan

Secondly if you think Burton is being traded against his will your wrong. Bruest was offered the same opportunity 2 years ago and declined, all australian this year, no issue. you watch port get bent over and reamed over wingard, going to be a poleasure to watch it unfold in prime time next wednesdasy evening. 2nd rounder anyone :D
