Honestly, how can you even attempt such a prediction pre-fixture?

I watched their ratings and where they'd finish on the ladder for hawthorn then changed channel.
May have been decent footballers but they are woeful judges!

Have you seen how 2019 unfolds then?

You don’t need a crystal ball to see that the Hawks won’t finish bottom 4. They aint dropping off that much as much as I’d love them too

Wrong thread i think Wubbsy, chuck it in the Sydney one for all the fans that would appreciate it so the rest of us dont have to endure another boring report from the Swans. Nothing truer than the club being a reflection of their coach.

I agree. Gold Coast, us, Bris and St Kilda have worse lists than Hawthorn. No way they can finish bottom 4 next season.

Of that list I would think Hugh Goddard is worth some time.

Listening on the way home there is a suggestion that Port are going to swap picks 5 and 10 for St Kildas pick 4 to guarantee Conor Rozee. What a stupid suggestion

They had James Gallager on and he didn't dismiss it but he did dismiss trading 4 to the Crows for 8 and whatever else to go with it.

Whether St Kilda have pick 4 or 5 won’t matter as they are probably not picking one of the SA lads, and neither are Carlton with pick 1. Gold Coast may very well pick SA lads at 2 & 3, so Port are looking to completely shut the door on the Crows with regards to Lukosius, Rankine and Rozee.

St Kilda won’t drop to pick 8 as that would let the Suns and Dogs in before them to pick up the King boys.

DELISTED FREE AGENCY
Sydney has met with former Docker Cam Sutcliffe as it weighs up its options ahead of the Delisted Free Agency Period.
AFL.com.au understands Sutcliffe, and out-of-contract premiership Tiger Jacob Townsend, flew to Sydney last Friday to meet with the club and undergo medicals.
They have also looked at delisted Geelong forward Daniel Menzel, who is overseas on holiday.

UPDATE: Menzel set to join the Swans. The former Cats forward is breaking away from his American holiday to undergo a medical with the Sydney Swans, before returning to his holiday. Though his agent former Bomber Adam Ramanauskas hasn't confirmed a contract, he has indicated that the Swans are the only remaining party in the hunt for Menzel.
