whats the excuse this time? It wasnt spin that tore us a new one but Abbas at all of 130km/hr

Youre all a bit hopeful that theyll leave out the Marsh's. Mitch was just made VC, hes going nowhere. Smakk steps, one at a time, ill be happy if we can wean the selctors off Shaun.

Renshaw
Finch
Pucovski
Laubaushagne
Head
M.Marsh

Marsh is a No6, just leave him there. The trouble is weve either got openers or no6's, in an ideal world the numbers 3-6 ive named here start their test careers batting at 6 but that cant happen so bugger it, throw them in the deep end

Renshaw tons up in Queensland club cricket after leaving UAE early to prepare for this week's Shield match.

Hopefully he scores bulk runs to force the international retirement of a certain Marsh brother......

Are Hazelwood and Cummins fit, I missed the reason why they didn't go to the UAE.

If they are fit they obviously come back in.

With Uzi out we have an issue and it might being a very Marsh issue.

Both missed the Pakistan series due to back injuries.

The workloads of star pacemen Hazlewood and Pat Cummins, who haven't played for Australia since the scandal-plagued Test series in South Africa, are being carefully monitored ahead of the ODI series that starts in Perth on November 4.

They each delivered 22 overs during this week's Futures League fixture in western Sydney, the biggest test of their fitness since suffering back injuries earlier this year.

Hazlewood suggested he and Cummins passed with flying colours and are on track to face the Proteas.

"There's the usual general soreness after a four-day game but things are going really well. The body feels pretty good and I'm pretty happy with how Pat and I went," Hazlewood told AAP.

"We both got out of it what we wanted.

"There's another second XI game next week. They're just weighing up now whether we actually need to play it, we spent close to 200 overs in the field and bowled 20-odd overs, so it's a nice build up for South Africa."

Windies and India tie in their ODI over night, Windies needed 14 off last over and hit a 4 off last ball to tie.

Having watched a bit of the Windies and the CPL this year Im pretty upbeat about their international future, they have some serious talent coming through, might not ever been the top of the world again but can seem them being in the top 3-4 international teams in the next few years which will be great for cricket.

To be in winning positions in India in their last couple of ODI's is no mean feat.

You're assuming they'll play test cricket and not take the easy road to becoming a T20 mercenary.

Now 5/136 at tea, a 75 run partnership between Mathews (52*) and Chandimal (33) got them out of deep trouble, England still well in control.
