Important win for Adelaide. Timely tons for Nobes and Raphael. Wouldn't have wanted to slip to 0-3.

Sturt 2-0, not showing signs they're missing O'Connell and Gregory. Yet.

TTG 2-0. Regulation.

Jake Brown would have 18 Bradman Medal votes so far.

East Torrens a surprise packet? A couple of their lesser lights stepping up with the bat.

Glenelg looking solid. Only loss was when Kelvin Smith made 160 odd

Woodville without Nielsen and McInerney (and Turley) a different side.

Southerns and Prospect both winless. Could be season over in October if they don't post a win soon.

Big weekend coming up. Double header.
Interesting Saturday matches:
East Torrens vs Glenelg
Tea Tree Gully vs University

Sunday:
Kensington vs East Torrens

And although still early in week, weather prediction for Saturday is extremely wet, what affect that has on Sunday pitches with bit more rain expected will be interesting.

I see that Port forfeited their women's A Grade match. Hopefully they can turn things around

:o

Tea Tree Gully spinner Sean Nottle triggered a remarkable late collapse after West Torrens appeared to be in control of their West End Premier Cricket clash on Saturday.

A third-wicket stand of 172 between Kelvin Smith (86) and Daniel Drew (95) left West Torrens only 21 runs short of victory but it then lost 7/11 to fall short, with Nottle taking five of these wickets.

Yep, a once off due to some unforseen circumstances so I was told.

I was also told that they will be a bit stronger moving forward, fingers crossed.

What's with Oneday games only? A mates lad who is 17 plays Cs . Bye round 1, didn't get hit Rnd 2 as they made 4/350, didn't get hit 3rd Rnd as they were chasing 90 done 3 down. He is a very good bat who last year didn't get time to build any big innings as winning easy and either had to get on with it before declaring . Needs to get a chance before kids like him who don't bowl ( keeper) get sick of fielding and not batting. Not saying he is

First Grade getting the qualifying games for the West End Cup out of the way. All grades also playing 20/20 this year too.

Yeah, it's crap, wouldn't expect a 216 run 4th wicket partnership in a one dayer when the score is already 93.

Playing the top team this week so you'd expect him to have a hit, hopefully he hits the winning runs.

The GC are screwed either way......talent drain because of too much Sunday cricket, now they are accused of not helping little 17 year old Johnny in the Third Grade get a hit in the middle because of limited overs games! Can't win

I can't believe that even the 14's are playing on Australia Day.

What seems even sillier is the amount of one dayers they have vs two dayers and then round 8 is split up as following:

Day 1: 1st of Dec
Day 2: 15th of Dec

I don't mind playing a mix of game types during the season. Onus is on clubs to rotate orders a fraction though if players are missing out in short form games. Eg that young keeper mentioned above - open up or No 3 this week.

Could grade cricket have one 4 dayer per season? :o

Australia Day is the last weekend of the school holidays.

Incorporating 20/20 into the schedule has really messed up the fixtures.

What is the point of lower grades playing 3 t20s? either have a decent amount of games or don't have any in my opinion.

Also a bit clunky that there are 5 one day games, then two 2 day games, then another one day game. Although i assume this is working around the Adelaide test match.

Understand it’s a difficult one. Little Johnny has a fair bit of talent and could see him playing Agrade at some stage but his development is going backwards. The std this year seems pretty ordinary from some teams.
