They have obviously worked out how to play Pope this innings
He hasn't bowled very well since I've been watching today. Trying to buy a wicket with McInerney having a bowl.

Have to expect that with Pope for a while. He's only a youngster and will have good and bad days, has a load of potential from what i saw a couple days ago

Our inability to regularly be unable to bowl opposition sides out after knocking the top order over relatively quickly is very concerning.

Time after time we have teams on the ropes only to let them escape, with our attack this is unacceptable,

QL 231
SA 505
QL 6/357

I was there there for the day
Game called off at 4:30
QL leading by 83 runs
I will assume both teams were of the opinion that a drawn game was imminent

IF THERE WAS 15 OVERS LEFT :
If there is 60 minutes left, and assuming about 15 overs could have been bowled , I question whether it was too early for SA to call the game off ?
If SA took the last 4 wickets in the next 4 overs for about 10-15 runs[ not impossible, but improbable ]
That would leave SA a chase of about 100 in about 9-10 overs

Im hoping someone posts there was less than 15 overs left and making ,my scenario obsolete

Adelaide Oval pitch must be back to the ROAD it was back in the 90s except the drop in dont crack up as much as they did back then?
I remember going out on the ground after a Shield match once back in that era and fair dinkum you could put your bat down the cracks.

In dominant positions both matches and couldn't force a result.

Even after only 2 matches - SEASON OVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In Winter out Richo

Someone has to miss out for Ferg, probably Valente which means Head will have to bowl more.

Don't think Head will be available for this game as has One day games for Australia.

So Ferg for Head, and agree Winter for Richo.

Mistake to bat on past them. Has happened two games in a row.

It's just so hard to get 20 wickets

Should have declared when we got to their score and let them set us a target

People being too negative about the draw, its a fair effort to bat that length of time i think we played the game perfectly, they just batted well on the final day. if we declared after passing their score and lost everyone would be saying we should have made 500 and not declared.

So just Head out, Ferguson in.

Would like to see Winter into the XI for either Valente or Richardson. Valente just doesn't look like getting wickets in Shield cricket and I don't think his batting is enough to offset this.

With the selected 12, Valente has to play, basically playing as a batter with Nielsen at 6. Need to drop Valente from squad and bring in a batter, Ross had plenty of chances, from the Futures Game on at the moment maybe Davis or Andrews pushing their case, Kelvin Smith deserves another crack but not really a Number 6.

Otherwise Mennie batting at 7 which is way too high, and gives a long tail. Think Winter will replace Richo which would be the other change for this match.

McInerney 19
Weatherald 5
Ferguson 3
Lehmann 24*
Cooper 1*

Long tail so we are in strife if these two can’t get us to at least 150

He was filthy walking off, absolutely smashed it onto his pads.

How can umpires at that level not hear/see that.

With all games videod, how long before reviews at Shield level start, for these obvious howlers?
