Central District big man Darcy Fort is off to the AFL with the Geelong Cats taking him at selection 65.

Huge blow for the Dogs. He was a great player for them from the minute he arrived at the club.

Brother Fraser will stay with Central after securing employment in SA recently. Great family.

Mature age player Robbie Young from North Adelaide and port Adelaide is off to the AFL with the Saints taking him at pick 67.

South Adelaide's Jake Tarca is getting a crack at the big league as well, drafted with the next pick, at 68, by Geelong.

Robbie Young wasn't even spoken about as a possibility. I guess he does have that pace and finishing. I still would have thought Boyd Woodcok would have been a better bet.

Massive loss. Happy not playing for port or crows against us. Unless we can recruit quite a few, 2019 is looking pretty worrying.

Of course they do, but they're not as jaded as the bitter, twisted old men, they adapt.

I resent that Mr. Boon, I'm not that old.

Fantastic for Robbie, the kid has always had so much natural talent, seems like he's "clicked" in the last 2-3 years as to how much talent he has and his work ethic now reflects that. Very happy for the young man.

Yeah, agree.

Unfortunate that Port Power didn't take him when he was under their wing, but he is a jet when at his best.

With Gray (x2), Neade (at the time) etc we had lots of his type on the list at that stage.

I'm so happy to lose 4 of our best and most promising players to the wonderful AFL. What an honour for the club. Looking forward to the Rookie Draft where we maybe able to provide a few more players. :) ;)
