All that fuss about Finch not opening, and he ends up out there in the first over anyway!

Talk on the other thread re Travis Dean was spot on - he is no good!

I just watched the replay of the wickets and wow, Silk got a bad decision. Way outside the line of off stump when he was struck

Just defies belief how the umpire thought that was even close let alone give it out?

Pretty typical of the shocking standard of umpiring at Shield level.

I reckon every 2nd LBW given over the last few years has been dodgy so its no wonder the entire fielding team goes up as one any time and batsman gets rapped on the pads as they know how fragile these umpires are into getting sucked in.
That decision was truly embarrassing

That would have been lucky to take a 2nd set of stumps.

Bloody hell.

Silk wasn’t playing a shot so didn’t need to hit him in line. Having said that, still don’t think it was hitting off. Jake Doran was touted as the next Ricky Ponting as a 16 year old but a few years on and he still can’t hit it off the square.

Bookies line on Redbacks runs tomorrow is 285.5, looking at the highlights I reckon that is way too high, pitch looks bowler friendly/under prepared due to recent rains, plus its the Jellybacks, thoughts?

285 seems a fraction high, but if they get on top early could easily post 300+ as you’d think batting will he beat later today/tomorrow.

SA have only hit over 285 once in 7 hits this year, Tas have bowled out teams 5 times under this score this year, cool weather in Hobart ain't going to dry pitch out, I think we just get past their score and get low 200's.
