Gut feel is they wont drop SMarsh though, he'll get the whole series to prove himself.

Needn't worry about that now.

I think the inside edge exaggerates how much the ball moved so Finch is a tad unlucky but still a very rash shot three deliveries in and not what you want to see. No need to get the knives and pitch forks out for Finch just yet I reckon, I'll reserve my judgment until he bats again to see if he makes any adjustments next innings.

Very generous mate... but he is just NOT an opening bat in long term cricket. And that aint ever gunna change. Its odd that those who know him best (ie the Victorian selectors) wont pick him to open.

I heard that Handscombe had made changes to his technique. What are they? I'm watching at the ground and can't see any difference. Still sitting deep in the crease with same back lift.

Would love to see Fergs runs in 1st innings v second innings.

We have guys who do not deserve Test matches and are failing with their unwarranted selections yet we don't have anyone knocking the door down with consistent knocks at State level. Geez how many consecutive centuries did Hookes knock up before Test selection? Now you just need 345 in Grade cricket and ppl say you need to be in the Test team

I have no idea how handscomb can bat so deep in the crease, I'd be worried about hitting the stumps every ball.

I think his average is 1.6 against Ashwin so might be a long series.
Ferguson failed again today.
Maybe Maxwell if he goes big today

1.6?! F**k that's unreal. Ashwin's bunny.
A seriously yuck dismissal, another batsman wildly throwing their hands at the ball outside off stump, I think was Ed Cowan on the radio who made note of it during India's innings, it's now a bit of a theme with Marsh and Finch doing it.

The problem is these guys are trying their best (except Marsh who is just the biggest disappointment in the whole team).
Finch, Handscomb and Harris just wouldn't be getting games under normal circumstances. Uzzie is the only genuine Test cricketer in our top six, whilst Head WILL be.
