Should be mostly past Adelaide by the time play starts.
Yeah just humid as **** out there. The ball will move around like a bastard this morning. And we know how well we handle a swinging ball.
Then dry out nicely for the Indian second innings

Outfield will be wet which is not good for the ball and makes it harder for the bowlers to grip. It could work in our favour.

When the ball dries though sometimes it's been hit out of shape when it's wet and swings at right angles.

Wet balls don't swing and if the Indians find the slightest defect they'll get it changed.
Then we could be in some strife.

Some blokes can get a wet ball to swing....

Would assume at Test level this would be more prevalent.

As long as they dont bat into the 5th day they will win. No chance of a draw

Not sure Smith would want to Captain again.
Give it to Uzi or Hazelwood with Head or Carey as future Captains and Smith can provide support.

If we don’t lose any wickets in the next 15 mins we could cash in here. That drizzle ain’t going to help the Indians and the ball. By the time it comes to check the ball for any defects the damage will be done.

Today’s play now scheduled to finish at 6.30pm.

Play starting again at 12.30pm but a smaller, heavier rain band on it’s way.

There is no one who could handle this period of transition as well as Paine. He is a good leader; diplomatic and composed. And his keeping is excellent.
Carey is clearly the heir apparent but if he replaced Paine now who would possibly lead?

I am gobsmacked by the use of Copeland in a media role which robs him of his playing resposibilities. I have never heard of anything like this in any mainstream sport. Its a massive sign of our times in corporate sport where the tail continues to wag the dog. (Another recent example being when a camera hovering over the contest had a direct impact on the game. Don would be quaking in his grave).

On the flip side means he will retire from playing at the end of the season.....
