Bangladesh Premier League on at the same time as the BBL hasn't helped, you can stream the matches live on YT and have seen Andre Russell, Narine, Pollard, Gayle - all guys that used to be in the BBL. Bravo is the only WI player in the BBL I can see and must be at back end of his contract.

BBL pays peanuts in comparison, not sure where all the $$$ the BBl makes goes?

Standard has dropped off which isn't helping, now the internationals we are getting are 2nd and 3rd rate. Have a look at the Stars team tonight, mostly grade cricketers! I fear with games being played in Geelong and Gold Coast they are going to expand the comp in coming years.

What worries me is the lack of good kids coming through, maybe each team needs to have 3 u23's to at least see some of our future. Cause its a good pay day many ageing shield players are sticking around.

Still a good family night out at AO,
