Only really going for The Living End but also get Richard Clapton, Diesel, Joan Jet and the Blackhearts and Jimmy Barnes. Couple of long time performers in Clapton and Joan Jet who whilst I'm not going out of my way for it will at least be something to say I've seen them.

Forecast was for 40° on the weekend, come back down to a much more palatable 33° now. Will need plenty of the Bushman's spray though I think!

We’ve got a house boat for 4 days but also going to sounds by the river

How bad was Richard Clapton?

In general, how was it? I always say I am going to go but haven't been yet. Do you need to wait long to get a drink etc? If so, I won't ever go.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Really well organised. Rarely got to the bar with anymore than 2-3 people in front of you.

Each drinks tent had 5 or 6 "In" lanes and 5 or 6 "Out" lanes, at the top of each lane was someone with a cash tin ( Cash only, no card at the bar, ATM inside the gates ), you ordered and as they did the money one of the runners grabbed your drinks, easy as can be. Only issues was the beer choices, Carlton Draught, Frothy, Great Northern, that's it. $8 I don't think that's too bad. Spirit cans were $10. Didn't line up for a piss at any stage. Didn't get anything to eat as Mrs Boon and friends Mrs had 18 courses of snacks on offer.

They reckon 10,000 people there, I didn't think that many but who am I to guess. Plenty of room, put the chairs and bags down and no issues.

Line up dependent we'll be back next year.

Thought about it but I reckon $110 was a bit overs for that line up.

Would have to be indoors I'd say, they've set up the Mill so there's a stage at the Northern end now, I can't see it being outside on the gravel.

No doors on the southern side might make it a bit sticky in there but the Big Arse Fans they've got in there will be churning away I'd imagine.

Forecast is only 29 at this stage so that’s more than bearable.
If it was 44 degrees like Thursday I wonder if they would think about cancelling it?
Surely there is some made up rule these days about heat policy at concerts?

I’ve been told it’s outside.
Not sure where though?

Either way it’s not going to be hot so won’t matter.

I can't believe he will fill Adelaide Oval, nor can I believe he'll get enough people in there to make it financially viable.

I agree on the surface looks to be a big overreach. I would've thought maybe Botanic Park or more like the Ent Centre.

Almost a lock to get moved or cancelled altogether I reckon.

You blokes were that far off the mark it’s not funny! Great show in front of a very large crowd.

Brilliant show, absolutely love it. He actually walked out on a walking stick and everyone laughed and clapped as if it was a prop, Certainly wasn’t poor old Phil is F**ked, 2 back surgery’s and a fall off a stage last year has him looking extermally unwell and very very fragile. Almost sick looking

But with the above being said from the very first vocal (which after looking at him I was a tad worried about) till the last, he was outstanding. Fantastic vocals and and even better production and sound. Fantastic set up, fantastic stage and lighting some great moments with his son, the drummer.

One of the best shows I’ve seen in a while.

Around 30,000 I believe?

That's nearly half of what the big acts get at Adelaide Oval.

Not in Adelaide I know, but on Sat July 6th at Wembley Stadium - The Who with special guests Eddie Vedder & Kaiser Chiefs.
That will be one helluva show.

The wife and I ummed and arred for ages and then it snuck up on us, I was devo, he's an amazing entertainer, very funny and can play instrument.

We had to settle for watching a previous concert, the bloke just doesn't make bad songs and when he introduces his band he's a crack up.

Music is like beer mate. I like most genres, I could listen to Edith Piaf then follow it up with a Metallica song then a number from Mental As Anything, Phil Collins has always been up there for me though.
