I do one country trip per year, and today is that day.

Left home before 6. Encounter my first Roo of that day just on day break about half an hour before Seymour, didn’t hit him, but it did wake me up a bit. Big bugger too. First call a small customer in Shepparton, took him a coffee, chewed the fat, in and out in 15 minutes. He’s as happy as a fat spider!

Now past through Finley, Crawfs old home town enroute to Griffith, where a couple of major clients have small subsiduries. Should only be in Griffith for 2 hours tops, then point the car back towards Melbourne.

These remote customers really enjoy the visits as it’s an effort to get out here. I don’t mind either, coffee, cruise control and 250 tunes on the playlist. Then tune into the cricket on the way home.

Heading up to Clare after work with the missus.

We're there all the time because her sister and nieces and nephews are up there. But what's different about this time is we're actually doing the hotel thing, instead of staying in their guest room.

After 8 years of going to Clare and seeing jack shit, we've started doing the touristy things there. A couple of weeks we headed up and spent an arvo sitting on the verandah of the Clare Brewing Co. (Mrs HH3 loves a beer paddle).

Should be a relaxing couple of days (with an 18th birthday pool party in the middle).

I guess Carey is doing it the other way around, coming down from the wild suburbs north of Anzac Hwy to experience civilized behavior at Spargo's joint!

Miss Boon, 18, her friends, all around 18, I draw the curtains on the back windows when they come around for a swim.

Clare - Pikes Brewery, their sparkling ale, delicious.

A work colleague lives at Goodwood and went to Tennyson for a holiday, I asked him upon his return how long did it take him to adjust to the time zones.

He actually drove home each morning to walk his dogs.
