There is no way there is going to be a reduction in the amount of games now that there is a TV deal locked in, unless that is renegotiated and that would mean less $ to CA so that aint going to happen.

Needs to be condensed and salary cap increased, play 2-3 games every Fri/Sat/Sun, Fox cover the early games, Ch7 take the night game. Get teams playing every 2-3 days consistently like the IPL/BPL/CPL, more games before Christmas when interest is high.

Personally Id love to see each team needs to play 2 u23 Aussie players, the kids offer some excitement, one of the few highlights this year has been Harper, Phillipe, Bryant - all young kids with little fear of losing their contracts/payday like the the 30+ brigade.

It was always going to. At least with ODI's there is some semblance of a battle between bat and ball and for the most part you are looking at cricket shots rather than dead set swipes nearly every ball. Even worse let's scrap state pride and play for 'franchaises' so we milk it with 'derbies' in the major cities. A cynical cash grab. A consistently unedifying 'spectacle'. utter tosh. McCricket. Junk.

REB
The cricket team I begrudgingly support is called the Redbacks and wear a baggy red cap.....who the **** are these pricks from Victoria and Queensland wearing blue and playing home games at Adelaide Oval?

My measuring stick (my 9yo cricket fanatic son) didn't bother watching any games last night. Even he's getting bored of it BUT can't wait till the test match starts!

Very proud of the lad, he's coming around.

Oh dear, was always a banana peel game for Hobart, away from their normal home, already secured top spot and a home final, against a road team smashed only 48 hours earlier, motivation was always going to be with the Strikers if they could get their shit together, which they obviously did.

BTW when the BBL is played like that its a great spectacle, 340 runs in 40 overs, but also some good bowling in the back end from us to restrict them.

Again, might have been said before, this competition = basement level teams, water table level standard umpires; should have been finished this weekend. Another joke of a decision, DRS should be in this comp with the joke standard umpiring

To elaborate, when even the third umpire can't understand (or know) Law 31.4; that's where the comp is at. At least with DRS they have to check for everything.

Spelly..... only 3-5 years ago mate. I really struggle to watch it. Just thinking that we pour money into 'this' but yet sacrifice shield and test cricket kills me. I really do wonder if Sri Lanka are in the same position we are. Their test side is terrible.

BTW, if they are serious about the T20, make it "school holidays" so that kids can watch it. I think most cricket tragics (like me) live through our kids. If they're not interested, I'm certainly not!

You'll note, my mates are coming around. I've bagged the comp from the outset. Its farcial. Third rate players, junk bowling, junk batting.....but the solution, throw money at it!

We should note that when the fielders are on the boundary after the powerplay, Batters bunt balls into the field for 2's. It's exactly the same as ODI's. But yet Cricket Australia will sell their souls on the basis that T20 is the silver bullet (which it clearly isn't). I could go on, but I won't. Simply because I can't be bothered.
