Walkerville are happy for him to play T20 for you as that doesn't take him away from them.
Are you sure they are happy for him to leave next year to go play for you guys?

I understand you see it as providing him an opportunity to play in a better comp, which it is, equally when Port provide other clubs B-graders an opportunity to play in a better comp, ie: their A-grade, why do you no longer support that?

I might be being a smart alec, but equally you are flat out refusing to see any situation from anyone's side other than your own. "They were our b-grader, you can't have them to play a-grade!!!"
Your justifications for taking players can equally be applied at other clubs.

But getting back to Kamau, he's quickly becoming the hot girl in the bar.
Eagles2014 saw them first so Port Adelaide aren't allowed to try to pick them up!

Also, I'm not sure why you want them so badly anyway, it will mean you can no longer boast about your xi all being your own juniors.

Finally, your attitude to ATCA potentially needs a re-adjustment. Kamau has 116 runs at 12.9 and 17 wickets at 20.5, hardly setting the world on fire yet you think he's a genuine A-grader at district level.

We will just have to agree to disagree then. We might have to make move for Kartas then, ex St Micks boy who knows all our lads, stuck in B Grade after lots of runs last year saving the team in a couple of games! He must be impressed with all the recruiting!!

As for Kamau, don't let those stats fool you. If you were at the 20/20 we played Port, you would see the talent. He cleaned bowl both Andrews and Turley first ball when they did not see it was that quick. And hits as clean as anyone in the comp, put Ports bowlers on to the road at ease.

He is a white ball specialist, could help win 2 flags, and with the 2 day comp so lop sided early with the one day games, you set your season up by winning them, as TTG, Glenelg, Sturt, etc have shown this year.

I'm not saying he can't play, I'm saying your view that A1 turf is worse than B-grade districts needs a reconsideration.

Not sure what you are getting at there??, but to win a 1sr Grade Premiership you need 4 quality quicks. Two years ago we never lost a game as no team scored over 200 with Kelly, Renshaw, S.Johnson, Williams all dominating. That's why Kensington (Opie, Grant, Fatchen, Brown) and Adelaide (Pengelly x2, Valente, Neate) will play in GF this year as they are the only teams that come close to this.

We may have another gun pace bowler back next year, so only one of Slee, Williams, I.Johnson, Short would be in A's, makes for a very strong 2nd Grade pace attack!

Hey, enough 'in-fighting' with our Brothers at Port Adelaide. Don't forget that we were both nearly shafted by SACA three years ago, and not one other club was there to support us. Thankfully, Port Adelaide worked beautifully with us to ensure our survival. The job of both these clubs is now to 'stick it to the other 11 clubs' no matter which way we do ;)

Cheers

in all seriousness what the **** does that do to produce State cricketers? Grade cricket is a ******* joke if this is whats happening, time for all the grade clubs too pull their head out the sand and realise their position in the South Australian cricket landscape. SACA please take control of the Grade comp, itys been run for far too long by self serving grade clubs

Apparently the opening bat in the Shield team compiling an innings isn't good enough....

And if it's low scoring then that would be shit too, no batters, what's going on

So no matter what it's shit

Curious to the protocol re taking off covers, home team responsibility?

I was away on weekend so only heard this second hand, but apparently the Port curator asked the Port players to come and take the covers off and they refused, stayed in change rooms mucking around. Left it to all the West Torrens players to come and do it.

Seems a pretty arrogant thing to do. Certainly fired up the Eagles boys to get the win. Heard Adelaide boys were also filthy with East Torrens for what they thought were "unsuitable covers" that left a very wet pitch, considering they had the game just about won.
