Kind of funny they talk about tradition when most have only been members for the last half dozen years, since our inception in 1997.

You'd hope so. Port have plenty of fine traditions, but people are forgetting they took place in different era's in a totally different competition

Easy way for the speculation to stop, just name the captain(s) and it will be all over in 24 hours, I would be absolutely staggered if they dont know yet which way they are going to head, in fact most clubs would know by Christmas but they delay announcements to before the season when there is little news.

Interesting that Polec has discussed how hard the preseason has been for him compared to recent ones at Port

The die hard/front running port fans will use any excuse to jump off.

Time slots
AAMI stadium is crow stadium(2 minutes from Alberton)
Weather
Ticket prices
Making a grand final and getting ass punched
Train strikes
Beer prices
Missing out on pregame dragon boat races
Telecast was Live on tv
Paying a for a bus ticket to the game

The results don’t change just the excuses.

Are port going to take up the bad press they cop with former player Dwayne Russell.

As for co-captains at port well the line “it’s the true port Adelaide tradition”’ I’m assuming will be changed :-)

"Yeah, I can't believe how easy the summer has been" - Said no new recruit ever.

It's probably been "hard" for him because he's now realized he has to deliver on the big bucks he's on.

Maybe the Wines/Jonas narrative isn't as clear cut as the media has made it out to be.

What if the club is legitimately taking it's time with the decision, taking into consideration a bolter who has the respect and admiration of the group within the 4 walls, who mightn't be thought of as leadership material by the externals?
