A massive 152 not out from 80's pop star Nick Kershaw against his former team mates has seen Westies amass a huge 8/414, young Lyndon Woods chipped in with a quickfire 65 batting at 3 then Luke Jurgens helped himself to 75.
The huge score may have come at a cost as they'll need to find an outright to get the minor premiership, most teams would've batted the day out regardless.
Aaron Sebastyn and Tyson Richard continued their good form with the ball for the Blues as Virginia overcame a shaky start to manage 220 to keep their finals hopes alive. Scott Lay and Emmanuel Tsimiklis picked up half centuries for the home side, Tsimiklis woud have to be the most improved player in the PDCA.
Eastern Park knocked up around 250 against Riverside in a non-event type day and I have no idea what happened between Angle Vale and Dublin.

Grade 2 sees Eyre Royals in all sorts at 4/29 chasing North Pines' 22, Nathan Clarke collected 4/40 for the Royals.
A snoozefest took place at Argana Park as Johhny Ritzema picked up 5/37 to see the Blues bowled out for 96, the Units are 1/23 from 30 overs at stumps, yep, 30 overs, a win pretty much guarantee's a finals appearance for the Units as they are in red hot form.
ATCO who were sitting about 10th out of 8 teams a few weeks ago have now made a late plunge for the finals, medal favourite Craig D'antonio took 4/19 as Enfield lost 4/4 early in the day then 6/25 to close the innings out for 116, the Huts are 1/30 from 23 overs, complete reversal to the Argana score.
I may have popped into Smithfield on Saturday to ask WTF is going on? I also may have put my hand up to take the reigns next season, friggin alcohol!
After have NEK 8/138 they fell to pieces and allowed the visitors to reach 255, Bignell (68) late in the innings done the damage where Peter Atkins set the day up with 49 at the top of the order, Nathon Merritt has already collected 5 wickets as the Panthers have limped to 6/52.

I heard that the PDCA Under 21 side got beaten yesterday.
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.
You don't need no golden cross to tell you wrong from right,
The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.

Scores aren't up but it's always a tough gig, the side listed looked alright though.

Slight concerns over the health of the ATCO club though, their A and B grade are starting to find form (although i'm sure if Littler umpired every week in the B grade they'd never lose a game) but they're struggling to field their bottom two sides and reports their womens program is taking a bit of a hit at the moment and may struggle a bit next year.

Hopefully they can arrest the decline and turn it around over the winter.

In all honesty, their women's team should not be in Grade 1.

PDCA all out for 130ish, Turf made them 3 down inside 30 overs.

The available players did ok, but a pity they can't get all the best U21 players to play,
not sure why Mitch McIver, Tyson Richard and the Childs Boys didn't play this year.

PDCA won the comp last year with the first 2, and had 6 players in the team of the year.

Dfficult position for our C grade in G4 - receive the forfeit against Riverside this round, and possible they may get a forfeit against ATCO last round.. a month without cricket and having no control over their own finals fate, kind of sucky way to end the season.

There was an annual charity match at Craigmore yesterday in honour of a family that has been a big part of the CCC, that would be my guess as to why they didn't play.

Grade 3 has seen the Pirates book a finals berth after already taking first innings points against the Goats, after dismissing the Goats for 89 Matt Stancl has led the visitors to 5/123 with an unbeaten 65.
ATCO made 270 against Enfield, the Gardens managed 198 with Westies 0/12 in reply in Stephen Sewell's 200th club game, while all sorts for pandemonium has taken place at Dublin as they were dismissed for 63 then bowled Angle Vale out for 89, the home side are 1/18 in their 2nd dig.
Angle Vale have secured the minor premiership, the Pirates could possibly sneak into 2nd, the Goats and Westies to round out the 4.

Two forfeits this round have made this round interesting in Grade 4, The Royals have taken first innings points on their way to an easy outright victory as Craigmore mustered a paltry 50, I'm surprised to see May back out for the Royals, I hope gets bowled on 99.
Game up for grabs at Greenacres as NEK posted 9/213 with Steve Prisk posting 50 and then a few more good contributions, Ryan Creek took 5/47 from 28 overs, fair effort.
The outright will help Enfield, if the Royals can post 300, regardless of the result at Greenacres, the Bullants will get close to 15 points for the round, this will chuck them a couple of points behind either NEK or Westies, I'm sure they'd be hoping for a NEK win as Westies have the Pines in the final round.

Grade 6, I see Sean Watt was given out LBW by a team mate on 99, that is gold.

Funny how he has started the season late again but early enough to qualify for finals, quality on the spot bowler.

I think there's a lot to play out in this grade, despite the point difference's on the ladder there have been some very close games between the top 4 teams and I think there will be a surprise premier.

Struth, just looked at Angle Vale's Grade 7 team, I know Darko had been playing down there scoring billions of runs along with a few other decent cricketers, just noticed Andy Skelland down there too, he was in the A's earlier this season.

Unpopular opinion time

Outrights are worth too many points

The amount of ridiculous declarations in the last set of two dayers where you can see mates looking after other mates teams is ridiculous and a blight on the comp.
