Sanath Jayasuriya has been banned from cricket for 2 years for breaching anti-corruption code.

Sri Lanka batting great Sanath Jayasuriya has been banned from all cricket for two years after breaching two counts of the International Cricket Council's (ICC) anti-corruption code, the world governing body has confirmed.

The ICC said the former captain, who was chairman of selectors as recently as 2017, had refused to cooperate with an investigation conducted by its anti-corruption unit (ACU) under Article 2.4.6 of the anti-corruption code.

It added in a statement that the 49-year-old had also been sanctioned for trying to conceal, destroy or tamper with evidence that could be crucial to anti-corruption investigation under Article 2.4.7 of the code.

Weren't they given immunity to come clean? So he's copped a ban for not coming clean?

The difference between pure class and a solid Test bat, Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls. Got em on toast, Williamson is milking it beautifully, Nicholls playing impatient, unnecessary shots.
