Well if they are leaving due to his style maybe its he that needs to adjust his style ? Clubs cant afford to be losing Assistants and especially mass walkouts if true.

Trent Mckenzie with the last kick of the game breaks the deadlock. Port win 95 - 89.

Meanwhile at Noarlunga South are in everything and look certain to win.

What was the Port line up Friday night. With the Power in Pirie, there must have been a few top up players in the Maggies team.

South Adelaide is in serious danger of being the first SANFL victim of the AFL’s controversial draft rules and could lose promising forward Hayden McLean to Sydney.

McLean, recruited from Sandringham this season after being overlooked in the national draft, will have a medical screening with the Swans on Friday and is vying with former Collingwood player Sam McLarty for Jack Maibaum’s spot after the defender was placed on the long-term injury list due to a ruptured ACL.

AFL clubs have until March 15 to draft a player under the new pre-season supplemental selection period. Players can also be taken in a mid-season draft.

Vice-captain of Vic Metro in the national under 18 carnival in 2017, McLean will be placed on the rookie list if picked up by the Swans.
“Hayden is a really good kid and we just have to wait and see the outcome of his medical with the Swans,” Panthers chief executive Neill Sharpe said.

“We were surprised when we found out, although in the back of our minds there was a chance of losing a player when the AFL introduced the mid-season draft rule.

“We did not contemplate losing a player on the eve of the season.”

It is believed McLean resided with Sharpe for his first few weeks in Adelaide. The Panthers have secured him work and he has been living with Panthers defender Jake Summerton.

The Panthers, told of the Swans’ interest in McLean last Friday, were also caught off guard when former co-captain and gun ruckman Keegan Brooksby was taken by West Coast as a rookie in December.

Brooksby was outstanding last season, but there had been no contact from AFL clubs.

For this South Adelaide receive NOTHING! I want my membership money back, the SANFL IS DEAD, IT'S OVER and i'am now over it. (restraining from swearing my fu&%*#@ head off!!!)

Hard to argue with you mate, more and more of the remaining diehards are going to leave (imho) if teams are continually weakened post-AFL draft & trade periods

It's such a disgraceful farce. So many "final straws". There's been quite a bit of talk about it on SEN radio of late. Dwayne Russell and a few others have been quite sympathetic to the SANFL clubs re what might occur mid season and the damage to an SANFL club and the competition. Not that AFL gives a s%$^ Nathan Grima and James Fantasia had a bit to say as well as the SANFL (I think Parkinson). I can't recall, but I thought from memory Fantasia was an advocate of the AFL teams entry in the SANFL at the time, but that may have been as a result of being or trying to get in the AFL system (he may have been at the Crows) or pushing the Norwood "backflip".

He's up against a bloke that's been in the system for 2 years, you would think he's further back than that bloke in actually playing.....

Pretty sure Fantasia wasn't involved with us or the Crows when the backflip occurred, could be wrong though

I hear ya lad, it's a crock of shit. I'm still renewing my membership again this year, largely out of loyalty because we said no to the incursion of the AFL filth. Because of the missus now doing shiftwork, kids ballet and my refusal to watch the AFL farce teams probably won't get to more than 4 or 5 games this year. First time in a long, long time I haven't bought a season ticket. The only 2 games I will definitely attend are our game at Unley because I always take my mum ( a lifelong Double Blues supporter ) and our game at The Parade because it's a catchup with some mates who are Legs supporters.
There's been many times I've gone to games solo in the last 5 or so years because I felt compelled by loyalty and dedication to the club but enthusiasm to bother turning up is waning, never thought I'd ever say that. They have said similar. Our comp is fu**ed.

I've said the same for years . No Rookie drafts and the rest . Pick one squad . If that is not good enough then poor selection. Demetriou started the rot and to think he came from the players association. Yeah it is all good now focussing on the elite but one day it will all fall over if they dont look after the foundations.
