Am starting to think that Fraser is going to be pretty important up front this year.
Cheers

Fraser has always looked a better forward option, kicked 5 against North at Prospect a few years back and looked at home. Him at full forward and Connor at centre half forward gives us two good targets.

Some thoughts on the new rules.

6/6/6 opens it up and the side winning the centre clearance has a distinct advantage.

Wingmen in the truest sense are back. I also suspect that they will be taller than before.

Playing on with the kick to self is no issue. Speeds it up.

An open game may lead to less frees.

I'll be honest I haven't seen any football yet this season so I haven't seen the new 666 rule yet, so I am interested to hear about this as well.

Coaches will use taller players than previously on the wings as they will be required to either get back or forward as the loose man option has been removed from the centre bounce due to the 6/6/6.

They have been allowing players to go back to their local clubs if not picked or when byes have been allocated. They have also provided coaching clinics for GSFL clubs and SFL clubs and had SAFC players attend local coaching clinics. Senior and junior coaches at South have attended local footy matches to support players that have gone back into local footy and supported inter league games as well. Secondly shoe boy all the support given to Hayden McLean was above board, transparent and inside all the rules applied. Yet another barb from the vocal local. Here's a thought Why don't you guys focus on your local footy and maybe every now and then turn up to an sanfl game and support them. Your absence is noted.

Barracker1 , I regularly attend SA games including the 16 game on the wend !
I asked a simple straight question .

Barraker1, I ALWAYS attend SANFL games when they don't clash with my local team.
I also agree that what the AFL is doing, is wrong.
Don't piss in my pocket about south junior and senior coaches attending local games, I can't recall ever seeing one.
Alex Burrowes and Tony Bamford used to pop in occasionally and before that Warren Ploenges was good but that was a long time ago.
The point I was making is that South or any leauge club use the local clubs in the same way AFL use the other state leauges.
Thats just the way it is.
Trevor Potts and Liam Green are 2 that come to mind that South have rorted.

Your having a joke right:: Piss in your pocket about south players and coaches NOT attending your club. Have another crack. Players attended ALL SFL clubs and GSFL clubs last year with coaching clinics. I've sat with coaches of both senior and junior level at Noarlunga games Flagstaff Hill Games Reynella and Cove regularly when time permits so maybe we should come up and introduce ourselves to you. Also attended inter league games at Encounter Bay. Or maybe your still distressed over your clubs choice of former coach. By the way Pottsy and Liam Green are from the last decade so catch up mate.

Pottsy and Liam from a decade ago. That's my point, this stuff has been going on for years, lower clubs are feeders to the clubs above.
I'm not joking my local club has not had a junior coaching clinic for 5 years.
The clubs you have sat at, with other coaches are not my club, probably why I haven't noticed you there.
If you ever come to my club please do introduce your self and your welcome to come in club rooms at half time for some refreshments and
a chat with the locals.
certainly not distressed over our choice of former south coach, we have well and truely moved on from that and have come out stronger
and more united than ever from that.
Not sure that someone from South should be having a dig at other clubs regarding there choice of coaches.

I'm guessing your involved with Morphett Vale which had a players clinic last year by SAFC players at a junior coaching clinic. Pottsy and Liam from a decade ago might actually state that things have improved since then!! I attended three M Vale games last season v Noarlunga v happy valley v porties. I spoke to Dave at each game. I'm not after an argument, and if you are who I think you are I'll buy you a beer at the next bye we have !!

Interesting Doc, I saw it as being that they'll use their quickest runner (despite height) to get back/forward and make a 2 on 1 contest but I see where you're coming from. For us (Carlton) I thought Zac Fisher could be the man.

Seb Guilhaus named in the Eagles trial match squad to face South. I thought he'd left the club? And if he has returned, didn't he get suspended for hit social media outburst following the finals match against North for cheating?
