Acknowledge maybe, but embrace...
It was our darkest hour, it nearly caused our demise but it's not going anywhere though.
On the day sitting behind 3 generations of Cats fans all in tears embracing each other that their drought was over reminded me that I've had it pretty bloody good. I've seen 13 SANFL and 1 AFL Premiership in my 43 years, that's one every 3 years (more or less) and sure there's been a drought that doesn't look like ending soon, but by hook or by crook I'd rather that than be a South Adelaide, Melbourne or St Kilda fan.
I've watched that GF 3 times since the day, it hurts like buggery but it makes all those good times feel even better, it's only football, after all.
I'd hasten a guess that the eldest of those 3 generations that day probably isn't here anymore, if so, how good is it that the other two generations shared that with her? If it means I cop a bit of stick, meh, I'm a big boy.
PAFC. Forever.
LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!
