Hope when Port lose to Melbourne that you don't comment that Rozee or Butters look ok or any other positives. Did Carlton win, No? Look better than last year, yes (for 2 quarters). Does that mean they will win more games - who knows after 1 game against a team that would be hoping to win a premiership.

Traditionally they've put up a decent showing in round 1 against the Tigers, last night was about what I expected as far as margin, just the bookends cost them from possibly winning, there's a lot to like already as long as they can keep the main half a dozen on the park and develop around them.

That last line is about Port surely.

The jury is still out on Bolton but I’m pretty sure the jury has delivered their verdict on Cliche’ Kenny.

Sure, if you want to call 10+ wins rubbish then we'll refer to Carlton as "******* shit" then, ok?

Their kids have some promise but I do question why they would recruit a one trick pony like Fasolo who is useless

Most clubs would be envious of that!

Unfortunately it was Carlton’s home game which shaved a few of the crowd numbers

If anymore turned up they’d have been watching from outside the ground.

Bloody good crowd in anyone’s numbers!

Was a very good crowd but still probably 4-5k less than what a Richmond home game would have attracted.

SEN said the crowd was well down on last year

But 80 odd k is still very good

Talk about all their premierships from old comp
1 each in AFL competition
Trying to hold on to history
Desperate to be relevant now but stuck in a vicious shit cycle

I didn't see the 1st half last night but read all the FB status updates on my way home from training.

I must say I didn't actually think Carlton were that bad.. I think they're a much better looking side this year, and whilst they probably wont make finals they certainly will claim scalps.

When they changed their angles and had runners front and centre they looked dangerous.

The best thing about last night - bet365 paying out early for a 30+ point lead haha! 1 quarter and bet won :D

Not sure you should refer to '95 too fondly, it's the reason you've been where you are for 15 years.
