The only positive is performances like this speed up Worsfold being sacked

Yep. Apparently ran 100km less then Giants today which is abysmal.
Merrett could only manage about 10 minutes of footy in the JLT but was rushed back in, same with several others. The effort wasn’t there from the opening minute.
As I said before there is more going on at the club behind the scenes

So, they were touted by some (not me) as a genuine contender. How? Just because they got Sheil they were going to go from not winning a final to winning the entire thing? I couldn't see it personally and maybe I'm right (time will tell), but I'm intrigued Jim, what's going on in the background?

Most Essendon fans didn’t buy in on the media hype and I suspect most like myself had us in the 6th-10th region. I don’t know any true Essendon fan who thought we were a legitimate flag chance. I think our end of season form last year when we won 8 of our last 10 tricked a few of the media nuffies into thinking that would be how we play this year.
Many were concerned at our JLT form and the skipper even coming out and saying players are having trouble with Worsfold’s new game plan. Add to that the injuries sustained pre season plus too many players unfit and it’s a recipe for disaster. Has also been rumoured to have been several spats between players and coaching staff

Hooker is probably the only other walk up start although I think Gleeson and Redman are in our best possibly. It’s more the little niggling injuries picked up in the offseason that has put players behind the 8 ball. Hurley, Merrett, Fantasia, Smith, Bellchambers, Heppell, Parish were just a few off the top of my head that missed 2-3 weeks of training within the last month.

Yep been watching it, Freo are killing it this arvo, been playing some real good footy, their foot skills going inside 50 have been very good. Roos struggled to hit the scoreboard early.

Was sitting on the fence with this game tips wise, went Freo and very happy I did! Struggling with my tips this round and having it lol.
