Had a couple of soft efforts in the last JLT and appeared to be struggling. Played in VFL trial game yesterday and kicked 5 and had 38 touches in the midfield. He will be in next week hopefully over Myers

Essendon.
Atleast the others have a yelp for a quarter or two.
We ran up the white flag at the 3 minute mark. We also ran 100km less than any other side this weekend [emoji15]

Good discussion point, I'll enjoy this.

Melbourne - Touted as a genuine contender at home against a side most people had outside the 8 playing 4 debutantes, picked under done blokes as they thought they had us covered, showed Port no respect and once again their leaders failed to show up and stand up when needed. #ikeeptellingyouthis

Adelaide - Again, genuine contender at home against a side most saw slipping from the 8, failed to really fire a shot forward of the ball, broken down by a system the angry little master devised. Doedee, big loss I think, Douglas out for up to 4. Not a great start.

Essendon - Only if you believed the hype would you have though they could go and beat GWS at Giants Stadium, I didn't believe the hype, as such, I'm not surprised.

North - Could have put them above Essendon in this one, but with no key defenders so Polec and Pittard played back there, the Dockers might be one I underestimated this year, or I over estimated North. We'll find out.
PAFC. Forever.

I believe those loosing on home grounds counts for more than those on the road. So Melbourne & Adelaide for me. Mind you the way that both Essendon & North went down would have been disspointing for their followers. I tipped Brisbane to beat West Coast, and like a total muppet, didn't have any coin on the outcome - #-o

I reckon West Coast get one week of leniency.

A late pre-season start due to the premiership win. The longest road trip in the AFL. Played against a side predicted to be on the improve in-front of their home crowd.

Interestingly 3 of the 4 last years prelim finalists lost in week 1 this year. Could it be the later start to pre-season or just pure coincidence?
