Essendon if you thought they were going to be any good, GWS are still sound, not surprised by that.

Adelaide until you look at the record v Hawthorn, 0-4 against Hawthorn in Adelaide.

Collingwood lost to Geelong with the last score of the match ( almost ), why did you add them in?

Melbourne took under done players in and offered Port no respect, Port kids played above expectation.

West Coast are 5 weeks behind Brisbane, Brisbane are looking to turn their season around, surprised by Brisbane, not disappointed in West Coast.

Sorry....Sydney it is.

you are just taking the pi55 now

What? Brisbane started their preseason 5 weeks before West Coast, West Coast are....why am I bothering, you've got the sulks up.

Sydney are perfect in every way Wubbsy, they've been nothing short of sensational since they were formed in the 1980's.

Massive.

David King stat on SEN this morning. 49 sides since 2010 have started the season 0-2. 3 have gone on to make the 8 (Sydney on 2 occasions and Collingwood last year).

Not a fan of the runner rule - it's stupid. How long until that's scraped?

Also dont feel like the 6-6-6 made stuff all difference, but bit early to tell.

I am not sulking Mr Boon, far from it... They didn't just get beat by Brisbane, they got smashed. You are the reigning premiers and got beaten by a side who finished in the bottom 4. How many reigning premiers have lost round one the past few years????

Also if they won it would have been expected

2012, Geelong got beaten by Fremantle who finished 13th in 2011, but that's reasonable debate and you don't like playing like that, it doesn't suit your argument. ;)

Thursday and Friday night's game were very Stewy Dewy, so I allowed for the dropped chest and overhead marks.

Looks like Essendon might be as ordinary as most thought! Love it.

The one Nathan Jones dropped was a disgrace, really turned the momentum. Foot skills and fumbles worse i've seen in years. Mustve spent all preseason working on holding up the right signs from the bench instead of kicking and ground balls.

He holds that and goes back and kicks it, it would have been game on.
Melbourne’s skills were woeful!

Their last two games have shown that they're susceptible under pressure.

Watching it live Bedge, it made a huge difference to both games (Thurs and Fri). The gun mids will get more clearances this year than ever. Ruck taps to advantage won't get nullified as much as they have in the past. I don't mind it.

I like the runner only being out there after goals but the only ones to suffer will be the ordinary sides. Let's face it the coaches knew that they were being watched last year and kept their runners out there for extended periods of time, so serves them right.

He really should of been replaced immediately but the club once again made a poor decision and kept him on. Was clearly evident on the weekend that our fitness is a massive issue

I’ll be interested to see how teams respond this week now teams have seen each other with the new rules and tactics. I reckon we’ll see some shocks this weekend again now that clubs have had a good few days to digest what they both served up on the weekend and saw the opposition do also.

If he was taken pick 30+ he'd be seen as a footballer with 173 AFL games under his belt.

Must admit I did like the runner / trainers rule, felt the field had go too messy with 36 players, 3 field, 4 boundary and countless runners and trainers on the field, it was noticeable that there was less red/orange/yellow vests on the field and I suspect live this weekend will be more apparent.

Felt more like soccer with the boards on the sidelines.

Also how are you supposed to get an important message out urgently? What if you need to change a match up, and change something randomly that you haven't got a coloured board for?
