Round 2 - It’s a long way back from 0-2

Talk on the national game

The Bulldogs played better footy than Hawthorn for longer periods of the game and deserve the win. If the AFL decree that the Sicily “hit” is now illegal and will be interpreted as such then they have made a significant change to the game. I’d now expect that the next opposition player to “ruffle an opponents hair” will give away a free kick for high contact and be sited by MRO.

If Hocking in any way comes out and defends any of these incidents it will be the last straw for many people and that bloke in that role. Collingwood must appeal that one game sanction and Hawthorn must ask for a please explain from the umpires.

Port gave Gawn a few bumps off the ball last week and Goodwin/Melbourne basically get told the umpires got it wrong, I can't wait to hear what they say about the O'Meara and Sicily free kicks.

^^^ Bang on! Beyond a joke these incidents, undefendable which is saying a lot about the Cox one since it was made after the game on review!

They won't.
They will say he chose to bump off the ball. Deliberate act, got him high.
The only chance is downgrading it and getting a fine but the charge will stand.

Did he even bump him? If he gets a game for that, this game has gone to shit (actually, it's too late for that)
