What hope do they have? Out in the middle of nowhere with no public transport, it's hard to attract a crowd full stop.

Even living at Mawson's it was a pain in the arse to get to. Last time we went there the fridges in the bar downstairs shat themselves so they asked what are we likely to drink for the night and how many do we reckon as they would put them on ice, I suggested that they just open the upstairs bar but that was deemed too hard.

They didn't even offer a discount for the not so cold drinks we got, we won in the end.

Been there once. The joint is a dive compared to Angle Park or even the Gawler Greyhounds by comparison. And I like harness racing.

Used to venture out semi regular. But haven't been out there for over 10yrs.
Food and catering is diabolical from reports from regulars.
I didnt mind a night out there. The 97 Inter final night probably a memory I'll never forget.
Thats the problem, that was 22yrs ago

TOMorrows Monday GDP meeting maybe the last there for ???
April meetings have been transferred to Kapunda, Strathalbyn and Victor Harbor
Port Pirie will continue meetings

You would think things will be resolved and racing resuming at GDP in May

Turnover will be interesting.

THE LAST RACE
This sums up things for the beleaguered South Australian Trotting club
Half way through the last race, that might end up being the last race at GDP for sometime
The broadcast and telecast of this race ceased
A few minutes after the race , caller Jimmy Jaques explained on TAB radio about a power outage
