Appear to be struggling to keep up these days.
Both had ordinary years by their standards last year too.
Adelaide will need to make a call on Jacobs sooner rather than later you would think.
He had his issues last year on and off field that, coupled with his previous 5 or so years, can be forgiven, but when you look at the top ruckmen in the competition in Grundy, Gawn, Ryder, Naitanui, Martin, Lycett he's a long way off the form some of them have shown in the last 18-24 months and given he's about to turn 31 you would think he's unlikely to find his best form again.
At 23 O'Brien looks ready for an opportunity at the top level, at least to see if he can cut it, Hunter, in his 4th year on the list appears unlikely to get a run at that level and last years rookie draft bolter Strachan, also 23, looks to be a low cost insurance policy.
Betts is still clever and will end the year with 30 or more goals, he missed Cameron's pressure last year and he'd be hoping Murphy and Jones lock themselves in the side offering that forward pressure so Betts can be creative.
PAFC. Forever.
LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!
