Should the AFL have started one game earlier and one game later ?

Common sense.

A league was similar without having matches overlap

Well, another loss. Rd 1, 33 points, Rd 2, half that, Rd 3, about the same, Rd 4, 2 points up there.

The signs are better. The ball use into forward 50 is abhorrent and not of AFL standard. I can excuse that because with McKay, McGovern, Gibbons, Cas etc haven't played much with each other. But that will run thin shortly.

McGovern must wonder whether it's worth the move. He used to get hit on the chest when a guy is storming toward him but not at Carlton. Dow missed him twice - actually cleared him twice. The major issue is that it's the execution of the skills that's letting us down.

I thought we went in top heavy this week. McGovern, Cas (back up ruck), Lobbe, McKay, Curnow, all talls in the slippery conditions. That was my only concern, however it didn't upset us too much, however we desperately need a small crumbing forward - Gibbons isn't that guy. I'd like to see him pinch hit through the midfield more. Not sure what our answer is there with Cuningham out. E Curnow missed a left footer 15 m from goal in the dying minutes which would've sealed it but missed.

Liam Jones was outstanding as was Newman. Should've won... didn't.

Yeah Carlton’s skill execution let them down at pivotal moments, Ed Curnow should have iced the game and Petrovski-Seaton is very lively at ground level, but needs to tidy his handball (he’ll be a good player though). There’s some good signs, but a bit of a way to go still.

The Mirra free kick that resulted in St K taking the lead- hate seeing those HTB paid but that's what the game has become. Sometimes they go your way..

It was an error riddled, low scoring affair, which seems to be the norm in 2019.
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

Your whole team is scared of shadows! No idea how to win a game. Should have beaten Port and GC so far.

I can’t argue with not having any idea on how to win.
That I agree 100%.

Can't say that I'm a big fan of his but I'd sooner see tighter rules on scragging off the ball, especially when it's 50 odd metres away, there is no need to grab at all.

Fine for the wack that saw him bend over, week for the second wack that then got the GWS player in the head.
Intentional, to the head, 75m off the ball.

Will Setterfield lays the perfect tackle and gets suspended for it.
It was unfortunate the lad got concussion but it was a good tackle.

It’s officially netball, they’ll be wearing skirts this week.

You must be an old dinosaur like me.

It was a tackle to hurt not dispossess.

Get on the gas last night mate?

Buried him into the ground in a tackle everyone knows* has been outlawed for about 4 years.
