I don't buy that. There are plenty of champion players who don't get boo'd. For example, do supporters boo Scott Pendlebury? Surely not.

About the right result today...Hawks just don't have enough AFL quality players - at the moment just can't cover the injuries

Hmm good example. Probably a lot of champion players on either side of the coin. A lot of pack mentality going on in the crowd im sure "oh your booing him? Well i dont know why but ill do it too" yay fun.

They've paid their money to go in so go for it IMO.

If people do it thinking it will put the champions off their game then they're sorely mistaken.

Can’t say I’ve ever had an urge to boo someone at a game - I pay money to go watch the game (and consumes plenty of beers).. booing is just wasted energy and I reckon would have to feel stupid doing it. 8)

I prefer to articulate myself better than just a booo, but I've got no problem with people doing it if it floats their boat.

Much worse things they could be doing.

Geez, rounds 5 and 6 remind me of a work colleague and his manager, hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.

He's a champion AFL player. Everyone is entitled to their personal religious views just as everyone is entitled to their sexual preference.

FREMANTLE'S upset victory over Greater Western Sydney over the weekend has been soured somewhat, with young defender Taylin Duman slapped with a two-match suspension for striking Lachie Whitfield in an off-the-ball incident during the clash.

Other incidents penalised over the weekend:

GWS midfielder Jacob Hopper fined $2000 for engaging in rough conduct with Fremantle's Matt Taberner on Saturday.
Melbourne veteran Jordan Lewis fined $1500 after being charged with a fixed financial sanction for striking St Kilda's Jack Steele on Saturday.
Western Bulldogs captain Easton Wood fined $2000 after engaging in rough conduct with Carlton co-captain Patrick Cripps on Sunday.

Geelong’s Tom Hawkins is free to face West Coast on Sunday after he escaped suspension for his off-ball hit to Hawk James Sicily on Easter Monday.
Hawkins on Tuesday was offered a $2000 fine with an early plea for his strike to Sicily in the goalsquare during the Cats’ 23-point win over the Hawks at the MCG.

What a joke. $2,000.00 fine for something which was a free kick at worst. This game is turning to shit.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

At least they let that go. Try having a kick at goal overturned because your player pushes someone in the chest... its been shit all year.

Shows the inconsistency of the umpiring and MRP.

3 weeks ago Sicily gives up a 50 for swearing and then a little push while the ball is in the middle and a free and goal straight in front. In comparison Hawkins should get a week. No consistency at all.
