Adelaide Crows 2019

Talk on the national game

Given that during the week Jenkins was in the media saying he wasn't guaranteed a spot meant he knew it was coming. Don't be fooled, this latest article is just a beat up.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

Pretty ordinary that he found out via the phone only shortly before teams were released, surely a face to face convo that day to at least let him know it was on the cards should have happened.

I found that weird also.
Face to face is always best when delivering news like that.

He was probably scared that Jenkins was gonna hit him with his handbag.

I read this quote as that perhaps a conversation had happened early where he was told he was potentially out. Why else would a regular player be waiting to find out on the news? Read to me like he knew there was a good chance he was out. got the phone call before the teams went to the media to confirm it.

“I heard late Thursday — not too long before the teams were announced — so at one point I thought perhaps I was going to find out on the news like everyone else. But I got the phone call from Don and clearly it wasn’t the news I was after,” Jenkins said.

Given they are at the club 5-6 times a week at a minimum it wouldn’t be hard to catchup after one of the sessions though.

Whilst Himmelberg wasn't spectacular on the weekend he looked to be more capable, or willing at least, to ruck than Jenkins is.

Keath is developing pretty well, but surely Adelaide know Keath, Talia, Hartigan and Kelly ( who has zero impact on games ) can't play in the same side together, no wonder they're slow moving it from the back half. If anyone tells me Walker is back after that performance I'll need cotton and thread to stitch my sides back up.

Ellis-Yoleman, is he ever going to become what he should be?

Translation on the Port thread:

not telling a bloke who is being dropped to his face is poor form at local level! At AFL level, its a disgrace!!! How could he not tell him to his face???
