Check it out today and he's in race 3, barrier 1 with Kayla Crowther on board, 7.5kg lighter than the toppy :D :D

Opened @ $13

Some handy runners in the race

Bloody oath there is, $100K race will do that, barrier 1 is huge, he’s always had to waste petrol early getting across.
He’s looking good, I thought he’d be longer though, good signs.

Good run, think you have a handy one on your hands LM. Not beaten far in a decent race

Looked off the bit real early, mouth wide open, reefing & tearing. I thought it would’ve been the first one gone.
Excellent run. Might need a tongue tie?

Looked like KC was trying to time the run but the others took the momentum in that time. Good honest run, pity couldn’t go a place better both runs as I don’t think we’ll get a price about it when it salutes.

Booney wrote:How disappointing was the crowd at Oakbank yesterday? Under 5,000 on Monday, around 20,000 on Saturday meaning under 25,000 for the weekend. I popped into the local to watch a few races yesterday and on the inside of the track near the finish post there was about 5 people, I remember being there and it was 5 deep!

In 2003 over 100,000 people attended over the 4 day weekend.

We have been going religiously on a Saturday for over a decade, but last 2 years have decided not to go, $30 each just to drive into the middle is pretty rich, still a great day and did miss it a bit this year. I remember going on a Monday in the 90's, they used to get 60,000!

Wasn't happy early on.

Pretty clear Terry McAulliff was on the winner!

It's the problem with having a new jockey on board, she didn't know the acceleration or stamina he has, if she went harder 50 metres earlier he would've won, he had plenty left in the tank, to finish less than a length behind the winner in that class is something to be excited about for a 3 year old, he has a big race coming up Saturday week either here or at Caulfield. It gives us plenty of hope knowing that he hasn't even had a country run, I strongly believe there is a win in a big race just around the corner.

As far as his early race ire is concerned, although the trainer thought and inside barrier will suit him, it now is more likely that he doesn't like to feel boxed in early.
