Which two, I know a number in that team. It’s a very good squad, some missing out each week could be in other squads top 10 players

Roberts (VC) and Burbridge (They both have younger brothers in the u13 dev squad also)

Have seen them a couple of times and its a very even squad, regularly have 15 players getting between 15-25 possession instead of other teams that seem to have 2-3 dominate possession.

The Australian arm of the business (We are USA based head office) recently had a win, and some areas of Asia are falling under our control. Not the ones we thought we may get (Philippines, Malaysia & Indonesia) rather we have picked up India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan & Bangladesh.

The boss has put me onto Sri Lanka, as a new sales region. So I have spent a fair chunk of yesterday and most of today researching who our customers are in Sri Lanka, what they buy from us, how much they spend, and importantly trying to work out, where the hell in Sri Lanka they are located!

So at this stage the boss is saying he wants me on the ground over there once a month for probably the next 12 months while we bed it down..... and not drop any of the other balls I am currently juggling.

Nothing like a challenge.

Hope ya havent seen the news?

Yep just heard that before the footy started! I will be asking for danger money before I leave! Mrs C said straight away that there will be the normal reaction and tightening of security over there. I’m guessing it will be a month before I go yet.

An update here.

My boss is in India this week, as part of this restructure has our Indian office, in Mumbai reporting through to us. The word back so far, is the office is a ******* mad house..... So reading between the lines here, I think my next trip will be to Mumbai to help straighten these blokes out. Further research on the customers in the region suggest I need to get to Bangladesh, before Sri Lanka, as the $$$ spend out of Bangers is double that of the Lankans. The thought of Mumbai does not thrill me to be honest, still its another country off the tick list I guess. #jauntlife

If the thought of Mumbai doesn’t thrill you don’t go to Bangladesh!

I gave the boss 2 pieces of advice last week before he left. 1. Don't trust the taxi drivers. 2. Don't trust a fart.

LOL, then goes and kicks the first goal in the Central's game.

It frustrates the hell out of the 3 of us, his ability to hit a leading target lace out in front of the eyes from distance is incredible but then returns 0.5 on the scoreboard, he runs too fast when he kicks for goal, lack of talk around him but still no excuses.

CM, i returned from Sri Lanka on the weekend. We were in Colombo when the attacks happened but I wouldn't have any concerns about going back there safety wise at all. Sensational country filled with the nicest people I've meet, I'd highly recommend it if you can weasel a trip or two there off your company.

I'm not sure what you & your company sell but if its beer like your username suggests I hope you own Lion Beer as I didn't see any others whilst I was there I don't think.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Christ, I can only dream of working for a brewery!

Thanks for the heads up & intel on Sri Lanka, that is pleasing to hear.

I was checking the defat warnings yesterday & for both Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, it said to consider if travel was absolutely necessary.

The clock seems to be going backwards this week as I’m eagerly awaiting 6pm tomorrow night before starting holidays. Only a short break to Vietnam via Jakarta and Hong Kong this time.
I’m sure you will have a ball in China

Count me in.

Let’s us know when and I’ll be in too.

Friday May 17th. I should be done with work by around 4.00pm. I will be in the Plympton/Mile End area. But heading up to the Hills that evening.

Wedgies pub is on Port Road, although he mentioned another pub if he was not working.

Should we short list a few pubs?

Rex - Richmond Road
Elephant & Castle - West Terrace
Highway Inn - Anzac Hwy

Let me know what works for you blokes. I guess Boon would prefer somewhere off Port road, which is OK too, top end of Port Road better for me.

I'm out mate. Start work at 6pm that night and working in the gaming room. Will have to catch you next trip. If you're going to the North v South game the next day I'll definately be at Prospect.
