if it hits the boot in any way, shape or form its a kick, just like the things players are calling handballs these days which looks more like a flick

Collingwood ahead of Geelong with GWS the wild card. That's it.

Long way to go, I’d think West Coast may well recover and there’s some chance another club or two could emerge
Put Richmond in there as well. Still a good side and had an average day against the dogs. Will be tough to beat at the MCG.

Not impossible, but hard to see the Tiges taking it out however wouldn't be surprised if they messed up a fancied clubs hope on the way through.

Is the "Country Game" just another way of getting Essendon into another "Blockbuster" they don't deserve?

No it’s a brilliant idea from Sheedy to invent a game billed as a blockbuster therefore ensuring Essendon will never have to travel to Geelong [emoji3]

One HTB decision that i took note of was Tom Stewart in the last 10 mins of Geel/Ess on the near wing. A clear HTB and rightly paid but what was strange was the fact Stewart looked like he intentionally dropped the ball thinking the umpire was behind him maybe and it would roll out of bounds. I will say Stewart does do a few weird things out there but this just looked so intentional i think its a bit of a giveaway to current players mindset (given the rules we now play by) Dropping the ball is fine as the ump is going to say play on, take the risk to free your arms and it will he HTB.

If only other sides were granted blockbusters for 'inventing' games, North Melbourne would be playing every Friday night.

So a kick has to go a specified distance?

Great, just add that to the grey-ness of the rules already and make it harder for the umpires to umpire!

Side track - but the not 15 rule is officiated as a joke surely. So many 8-10m kicks paid as marks. You want to clear congestion, start paying this rule!

If North could attract more than a handful of fans each week they would still be playing every Friday night.

No, it doesn't, but "nicking" the ball at the end of a tackle after having prior shouldn't be considered correct disposal, should it?

Agree with Jim, continue to get over 90k and they will continue to get Anzac Day. And fair enough too in my opinion. Chuck Kangaroos and Bulldogs on that day and no way do they get that sort of crowd.

Of course they wouldn't get 90k for North and the Dogs, they don't have 90,000 supporters!
