Bloody oath - that’s a disgraceful decision.
But having a look at who they play next week, maybe a week is fair...

Well, it shouldn't be. ( See Hoskin-Elliott handball late in Anzac Day game ).

So a kick has to go a specified distance?

Great, just add that to the grey-ness of the rules already and make it harder for the umpires to umpire!

No, it doesn't, but "nicking" the ball at the end of a tackle after having prior shouldn't be considered correct disposal, should it?

Probably not but surely that is just adding another grey area into the game and more issues for umpires.

if it hits the boot in any way, shape or form its a kick, just like the things players are calling handballs these days which looks more like a flick

I thought open hand handball was a throw.
About when the time the flick pass was outlawed.

I think the umps just don't want to throw it up and turn a blind eye just so it gets out.

^ worse than the flick pass is the way the overhead handball has crept into the game as acceptable. Most of the time the clenched fist is doing about 1% of the actual balls momentum. Its basically a throw with a token brush of the hand.

That would make it a handball. Lol
I don't have a problem with the overhead, its the quick give in close the umps see or don't see.

Does a ball grazing a boot, shin or lower leg count when a goal is reviewed? Think about what you're saying, surely that's making a grey area even more grey?

He elbowed Shiel in the head. I thought the AFL were against head hi contact?
