Third way

Postby Brett » Sat May 04, 2019 10:47 pm

We are now a third of the season gone.

I think North are out of contention and Eagles will find it tough to make the 5.

Central and West are not convincing and I see them missing out . Which leaves 7

Norwood and Glenelg are lock ins . Its going to depend on the AFL reserves teams to determine who makes the 5.

They would want Norwood , Sturt and Glenelg to make that's for sure.

Right now Im tipping a Norwood V Glenelg GF .

I think they are a year behind still. Norwood , Glenelg and South open it up . What makes you suggest Sturt ?

Only going on what I’ve seen so far. Sturt and Glenelg looked the best 2 teams we have played but felt Sturt had more of a system and style. They are fairly consistent and you know what you will get most weeks. Most of the other sides have too much gap between their best and worst

I’m all for promoting the SANFL, and I’m all for a rundown of form on the first 6 weeks.
But naming Grand Finalists in May?

Shh dont tell Spargo. Port and Crows make it unpredictable as always. Why do some Glenelg fans get spooked about finals potential. ? Embrace it , the team is very good.

I’d be very surprised if they won the spoon. I doubt they make finals from here but they will probably win more than they lose

I think the same, but realistically there isn't a heap between all the different sides these days. And once clubs mathematically fall out of the finals race (which North haven't, but aren't far away from unless things change in a hurry) they generally have a tendency to fall away even more.

North do appear too good to stay bottom though imho.

Almost half way now and the 5 is almost set. Port may be the only in from here if the AFL side start getting players back.

2 games plus huge percentage out. Most likely are going to need 8 or 9 wins from their remaining 10 games. I’m not convinced they are that good

Good point but will only take an upset or two from South or Sturt and its open.

Glenelg and Norwood fans should be feeling confident and a lot will depend on the Crows .

You cant go past the top team half way through with best defense and attack. I know the fans are excited .

Glenelg v Norwood Grand Final at this stage. The Clowns have the strongest chance to upset that scenario.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
