I thought last week was bad, today was the worst display of umpiring I have ever seen, again both teams laughing at decisions all day, it is insane some of the crap that’s happening

You would have to start thinking it is the individual's ability to understand the game that is the issue.
You can't have crap at one game them half decent at another.
Umpiring was a B at Harpers yesterday which is acceptable.
Where can you see the umpire allocation per game, i couldn't find it on the SAAFL site.
GG came from 7 goals down in the 3rd to draw level 3/4s way through the last, GG were fairly soft for the first half which cost them bigtime.
I don't their players actually understand that when you come up against clubs that have been around for 50 plus years your going to get a brutal contest.
Proud old clubs like FP are going to put you to the sword.
Well played Flinders Park.

I'm not surprised Bubba, I just saw who umpired your game.

I’m not sure of the names but the holding the ball interpretation is just horrendous, I am all for calling HTB if u jump on the footy and can’t get it out but in general play you still need to be given a chance to get rid of it, all day yesterday guys were pinned HTB after receiving the ball and being tackled straight away, have noticed an increase in sling tackles being called too that are clearly not sling tackles (not two actions) why have we made it harder for already pretty average umpires to get it right?!

Was the same in our game.
I’m assuming that there was a direction from headquarters during the week on interpretation because it was totally different to the previous few weeks

Would just be nice to go to a game of football and not notice them for a change.
SHOCKERS.
As for the game, it was quite good.
Glenunga by a couple of goals but they were gifted 4 to 5.
I sensed of fair bit of rivalry developing between GG & Glenunga on the field partially due to some baffling decisions and 6 pointers on tap in the first 1/4.
Should be a cracking return match at Harpers next time.
Div 3 is certainly going to be a tight battle for the flag.

After following Traders link to the umpire allocations i was astonished to see the worst umpire during this game last week was promoted to Div 2.

Just about sums it all up i reckon.

Spot on Bubba. The last two weeks have been horrific, almost embarrassing to the League. You have to wonder what has changed?? The sooner they change back the better or nobody will want to go get the ball!

Saw a half of the North Haven game and if those coaches did not ring up for a please explain would be very surprised!! Went both ways but everyone was just laughing in the end! Last week was just as bad.

We Received 2 yellow cards for "Dangerous Tackles" on the weekend. So Definitely something that the umpires must have flagged during the week. Both of the ones we received appeared to shock both sides. If they want to protect the player by rewarding generous kicks then so be it, But need to be cautious going to the Card so easily.

Clearance pending for Gibson Turner to North Haven. Is this a one off or permanent. As a Bloods supporter I’d be disappointed if he left. Very good get for North Haven if permanent.
