Yes, RIP the silver bodgie. He (with Keating) out-Liberalled the Libs on economic reform, and catapulted Australia into the modern age.

Below is one of Australian television's greatest exchanges. If only today's political interviews were half as interesting as this.

Having to tell my sons coach that he no longer wants to play as he's not enjoying his footy.

Pretty hard as I'm the assistant, my lad told me yesterday afternoon, we slept on it but he is adamant.

He'd be right up there with the association votes atm but he wants to play with his friends from school, I sort of knew it was the case this season, his coach was sick for the first few weeks and I had to take over, that probably prolonged it.

It was a solemn night, I took him to his new club, signed his clearance forms and he trained there, it was good to see his happiness and the how his new team mates were happy to have him on board but on the same token his previous club train on the same night, I'm usually running specific drills for them and I have some good friends out there now, I don't know if that's fractured now.

I was a bit overwhelmed when I got home, I got his mum to pick him up after training and I just went home and laid in bed staring at the ceiling from about 5pm onwards, my wife not being very sports-minded couldn't understand how I felt.

At the end of the day, it was for the better and he's playing a higher standard and not jumping ship for better opportunity of a flag.

Kids his age get lost to the game for so many reasons so anyone involved with his previous club need to acknowledge that, best he plays somewhere else than nowhere at all. Perhaps keep that in mind if you encounter any negativity.

Yeah, at the end of the day I don't really care what anyone thinks, I don't like letting people down but I'm only here once and I can't expect my lad to do things because it suits me better.

I rang the coach yesterday, I've known him for a long time and he's a top bloke who understood and wished us all the best, he said exactly what you have said and that they wont hold his clearance up and then said "well at least I got one year with him in my team".

Sounds pretty amicable, but at the end of the day the kids happiness within himself is the most important thing.

Which club has he gone to?

Today I actually admire him for making a decision and telling me what "he" wants to do and not do what "I" want him to do, if his coach didn't get sick at the start of the season causing me to take the reigns we would've made his stance then, he knew I would've been caught between a rock and a hard place.

One of those stoopid ads popping up on the page.

It's an ad for a tour, which features a lot of great singers. (that's not the sad bit)

The sad bit, is that the tour is sponsored by APIA. We're not getting any younger! :(

Learning that my mothers ashes have been lost. FFS!!

My Step Father, who suffers from dementia, and in my opinion, is incapable of taking care of his own affairs, has knocked the urn over, and vaccumed them up...... Yep great!

The Ashes were held in the memorial wall at centennial park for a month after mums funeral, but then had to be collected. They (Mum & Step Dad) wish to have their ashes combined when he passes on, and then held in a permanent place.

Well that's that ******......

Kicking myself that I left him to look after this...... Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Sorry to hear mate. My old man still has mums ashes and you've just reminded me to do something with them before something similar happens.
