It's in their plans to bowls the short stuff to combat the small grounds, I've watched pressers from Finch and Cummins where they have mentioned they will try and use short pitch bowling to combat the short boundaries straight on the various English grounds and to have the opposition only be able to score on one side of the ground.

And I just watched Zampa's pressers from last night's match, he was asked about the short stuff and he said with the pace in the wicket, having the 3 quicks and with Afghanistan coming from the sub continent conditions not being used to the pace and bounce it was a plan.

Michael Slater will not be directly involved with Channel Nine's commentary for the upcoming World Cup in England but will play a role in their coverage through the ICC's global feed service.

According to news.com.au, a Nine spokesman clarified that Slater will feature on the network through the international feed but will not directly take part in the presentation teams.

Earlier this week, Slater was kicked off a flight between Sydney and Wagga Wagga after what has been described as a "heated argument''.

Great to see the cricket gods are looking down at Faf and his passive aggressive mates. Hope the Bangas put up 350 and add to what England did to them.

Ngidi injured and with the exception of Rabada and Tahir the rest of bowling attack is very pedestrian, they're struggling when they need part timer Markram to bowl more than 2/3 overs.

I’m just waiting for India to hopefully add another nail to their coffin.
But yes, Norwood and Essendon winning was great but those knobs losing was some nice icing on the weekends cake [emoji3]

Pakistan going alright at 2/128 after 22 overs but would want to get a move on soon to have any chance of making a big enough score to put pressure on England. They would need at least 320/330 I reckon.

Players who take glasses out there as a fashion statement instead of a tool to help you catch the ball.
