Brakes really been put on this innings the last 8 overs

Prob get shot down for this but all innings haven’t helped but feel Warner & Marsh have batted quite selfishly and for themselves.

Davey doing his usual habit of getting to 100 then getting out almost straight after.
Promoting Maxwell hasn't paid off, interesting to see how two class batsman who are not renouned hitters close out the innings.
Pakistan's fielding is diabolical.

Will take a run a ball hundred from an opener every day of the week.
Smith played a woeful shot and then Warner did the team thing and let Maxwell have strike.

Geez Pakistan have been bad. It's an indictment of Australia that they're not going to score 400+

I liked Maxwells 20 off 10.. also allowed Warner to cost through the 80’s and kept Pakistan on the back foot.

Also shouldn’t underestimate these two batting - Shaun Marsh is an exceptional T20 bat and Khawaja has done some damage in BBL

Was always gonna finish a run a ball with some of the garbage dished up, was just large periods of the game he didn’t appear too phased about batting with intent. Yeah he cashed in on some crap and had some luck which helped catch up balls, but just felt off to me.

Still 100 is 100

Not sure Khawaja should be coming in after 38 overs, unless we're 1 or 2-fer.

I liked Maxwell coming in earlier but would of been nice if he gave himself more a bit time to get in and set himself up.
Definitely didnt underestimate Marsh and Khawaja batting together later in the innings, they showed batsman can bat sensibly while keeping the scoreboard ticking over at a good rate, the Aussies just keep getting themselves out though.
Amir's line and length in his spell has been outstanding.

We got this innings arse-about. Accumulators batting in the last ten overs. We got ahead of ourselves wasting Maxwell when we did subsequently falling well short of the 350 we should have reached.
Still theres enough in this pitch that we should win.

To be fair this bowling line up packs some heat... all four of them can bowl a heavy ball. They just got it wrong early but they came back well.
Amir take a bow.
We are just a good OD side. Rely on two bowlers and 3 batsmen. Not good enough to challenge the Big Guns.

What were we at 30 overs? 2/200? Close enough..

Lose 8/100 and change in 19 overs on a shoebox is absolutely deplorable.

Hope so... but if pakistan are smart they will sit on those two and take their runs off the ordinary back up. We need 3 out at the 10 over mark.

I’m confused why all the criticism from commentators is directed at Maxwell & Khawaja - two guys who didn’t choose where they batted but scored better than a run a ball and certainly not Australia’s worst.

Scapegoats so the favourites can go through unnoticed

*edit* now BJ comments how hard the pitch is to bat on when talking about Warner

Hopefully 307 is enough, can't waste the new ball like Pakistan did/how we we did against India the the other night.
