Arrived at Salisbury before the start of the C’s and went to grab a pie and coffee for morning tea. No coffee, no pies, no chips, nothing. Just the bbq.
I would expect that and be ready if we were playing Pulteney but not a club that’s been around nearly 120 years. ](*,) ]

Hope Valley by 167p - 9 Goals in First, 9 in Second, 2 in Third and 13 in the last. Was told Blacks captain was getting married today and 9 players where not playing.

That doesn’t help when you’re already getting flogged.

Some massive floggings today. Felt for some of the Eastern Park defenders today. Their own team mates weren’t shy in giving them a gob full at times- I wouldn’t want to defend that when the ball is coming in on a silver lined platter.

Watched Salisbury vs Lockleys don’t think Salisbury want to win took best two players in first half away from ball in third quarter and put them up forward both young and went with a centre square older and slower than fall of Rome all can play but can’t all be in centre at one time makes no sense.
Seriously ruckman was a b grader filling in and in my opinion did a great job but your centre square needs hard contested ball get player, quick with skills and and third onballer a mixture of the last two Salisbury went with three the same and got slammed.
Watch medal count later in year and I still think one of the two young Salisbury players will get a vote by umpires even though Salisbury did there best to keep them out the play don’t know what they are trying to do suck any spark out of there play and play safe boring football.
With full side Salisbury have enough good players to make finals, let players play, create and move the ball quickly as they don’t have the talls to move the ball slowly.

With full side Salisbury have enough good players to make finals, let players play, create and move the ball quickly as they don’t have the talls to move the ball slowly and seriously taking great marks is good but then turning it over at least 50 % of the time gets you in the best nearly every week.

Hmmm, not sure whether you’re Kevin Sheedy in disguise or not, but starting your post with ‘don’t think Salisbury want to win’ makes me question whether anything else you rambled on with should be taken with anything more than a pinch of salt.

However, you do seem to know a fair bit about the players who ran around today, feel free to come and chat to me about it (leave the keyboard at home) on Tuesday night at training

Pulteney BBQ - Tops!! Most improved 2019.

In defence of Salisbury though, I’ve been there countless times for Jnr footy and it’s one of the best canteen/bbq facilities going around when it’s firing.. credits in the bank, one bad day doesn’t maketh the feed.

As a President I understand the issue with volunteers better than most but there was still no canteen later in the day either.

No there wasn’t. If you wandered past the BBQ later in the day you would’ve seen A grade players on the BBQ from 11-1, C Grade players from 1-3 and B grade players from 10-11 and 3-4 to ensure there was food available (with a pie warmer with your favourite pies, pasties and sausage rolls from 12pm onwards, by the way). There was also a selection of chips, chocolates and lollies available from the bar, along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

If you have some volunteers to lend us to so we can also serve some hot chips from the deep fryer inside please send them our way.

One thing Ive learnt from our SANFL juniors this year is the Ammo clubs take their BBQ/Canteen experiences very seriously!

Had a Rosewater bloke furious that he couldn't get a can of coke an hour before a game earlier in the season

Yep, a great reputation with food on a Saturday is worth $1000’s of extra revenue to Footy Clubs.
