The commentators got it spot on, can't play 3 of Smith Usman Marsh, the latter two bat best as openers in my opinion and there is no space for them there, however since we don't have anyone else in the squad that can bat those two remain.

Thought Sri Lanka bowled well at the end after that over Maxi got after them.
Dave Warner will be missed!

The Lankan openers are putting Aust to the sword here
0/86 off 9.3
334 looking quite a small target from here.

And now Aust have wasted a review after Carey and Richardson thought Perera got a tickle but nothing on DRS

When I went to bed SL were cruising at 0/100 odd they ended up getting bowled out for 240 odd in the 46th over.

Aus won by 87 runs.

Our bowling still worries me, the power sides i9f they get to 0/100 wont roll over like the Lankans did last night

seems they are all just playing Cummins off now without too many risks, Starc certainly standing up however

Aside from those the others aren't much chop really however thought Maxwell bowled quite well last night and bought the run rate down

Do not underestimate Maxis effort last night. Langer used him in his best role with the bat coming in at the death. A perfect cameo. And then an excellent effort with the ball against spin savvy SL.

The Paki’s are a shambles in the field. I also can’t remember a bowling/fielding team where every player seems to have tape on their fingers...

Starc's 4/55 against Sri Lanka takes him to 35 wickets in the World Cup for Australia, going level with Brett Lee and going past Brad Hogg took 34. McGrath has the most for Australia and overall with 71.

McGrath- 39 Matches, 71 wickets @18.19, Strike Rate of 27.5 and Economy of 3.96

Starc (12th overall)- 13 Matches, 35 @13.51, SR 18.8 and Econ 4.3

Lee (13th overall)- 17 Matches, 35 @17.97, SR 23.5 and Econ 4.57

Hogg (14th overall)- 21 Matches, 34 @19.23, SR 27.9 and Econ 4.12

Elite numbers from Starc, he's now also gone past Hogg in overall ODI wickets for Australia, now 9th overall with 158 wickets. His average of 21.25 and strike rate of 25.5 is better than any of the 8 guys ahead of him but has a more expensive economy rate, 4.99 than any of those bowlers.
