India won by 89 runs with the D/L method.
Amir took 3/47, now currently equal top of the wicket tally with Starc, both have 13 with Amir having the better average.

Kohli passed 11,000 ODI runs with his 77 from 65, it has taken him just 222 innings, Tendulkar the previous best took 276 innings to reach the milestone.

Is Kohli going to be the best all-round batsman of our time?

Some are more suited to tests, some are suited to the shorter games, this guy adapts to either with ease.

Big match Saturday night, the Shaggers vs the Windies, NZ were lucky they had a washout against India, the Windies had one against the Saffers.

If NZ win, the top 4 is set, not that it's not already 80% inked in.

McGrath- 39 Matches, 71 wickets @18.19, Strike Rate of 27.5 and Economy of 3.96

Starc (12th overall)- 13 Matches, 35 @13.51, SR 18.8 and Econ 4.3

Lee (13th overall)- 17 Matches, 35 @17.97, SR 23.5 and Econ 4.57

Hogg (14th overall)- 21 Matches, 34 @19.23, SR 27.9 and Econ 4.12

Elite numbers from Starc, he's now also gone past Hogg in overall ODI wickets for Australia, now 9th overall with 158 wickets. His average of 21.25 and strike rate of 25.5 is better than any of the 8 guys ahead of him but has a more expensive economy rate, 4.99 than any of those bowlers.

Seemed to recall him copping an absolute pasting on this forum over the last summer....

Mind you I think Finch did also and whilst I didn't buy into the Starc-bashing, I did with Finch!

Starc's higher economy rate would be from a mixture of smaller grounds, evolution of the game, power plays and less games against crap teams.

We used to always invite a decent team and a crap team over here every year for the tri-series, it was designed so we'd never miss a final, it's all a bit different nowadays.

KOHLI C AHMED B AMIR 77

Played a hook shot
Missed the ball by about 3 inches
He walked
I replayed the dissMissAL and thought he missed by a fair way at the time
Later the TV replays showed he was clearly not out

POSSIBLE EXPLANATIONS WHY HE WALKED
He wanted the others to have a hit at the end[there was just under 3 overs left]
He likes a TV show called 77 Sunset Strip
He backed himself to make less than 80
He was scared Amir bowled short at him

All stupid reasons I have presented
But Im struggling to work out why arguably the current worlds greatest ODI batsman walked

Must be a plausible answer

I don't think too many were having a go at Starc in ODI's, Its Test matches where he is shite with a pea heart is where everyone was kicking the boots in

Point 1 is plausible and only a very skeptical person would entertain point 4.

Plenty of scrutiny of the Aussies on here, but we are going along very nicely at this stage and I can't imagine any of the other teams being all that thrilled about having to play us in a Semi or the GF. Just need to make sure they peak when it counts.

That’s an unbelievable win by the Bangers. Chased down the Windies 321 with 51 balls remaining [emoji15]

West Indies
8/321
Hope 96 (121)
Lewis 70 (67)
Hetmeyer 50 (26)
Rahman 3/59 (9)
Saifuddin 3/72 (10)

Bangladesh
3/322 (41.3 overs)
Shakib al Hasan 124no (99)
Liton Das 94no (69)

The loss has pretty much ensured the Windies are eliminated

With Afghanistan and Pakistan still to play the Bangers are genuinely an outside chance to make the top 4. Would be great to see and be great for cricket.

Windies very unimpresssive bowling and in the field, actually did not looked interested

Could have got to a lot of skied balls for catches but chose to wait for it to bounce Gayle bowling, Gayle fielding in the covers at times. Something just didnt seem right, but fantastic batting by Bangladesh
